Thank you for your understanding and patienceJob returns are used when you want to return components that have already been issued to a job back into inventory again. This can sometimes happen when stock has been over-issued to a job or not used during the manufacturing process and must then be returned into good usable inventory for another job.

Job Returns are mainly done on the scanner-based screen. There is a PC-based version of this module as well.

  • Scan or type in the job number.

  • If more than one stock code has already been issued to this job, the Stock code field will remain blank, and you must select a stock code from the drop-down list you wish to return to inventory

  • Next, you must select which Lot number you wish to return

Info

Note: If only one Lot number has been issued, it will automatically populate in the Lot field

  • The To Warehouse field will populate automatically depending on the warehouse you have logged into with the scanner

  • The Quantity Issued will populate automatically

  • In the Quantity to Return you must capture the Qty you wish to return

  • The Reason/Notation field can be left blank as this is only applicable/used with the Premium version of DATASCOPE WMS (Reasons can be configured for job returns If this is configured, it will post to the Notation field on the job in SYSPRO)

  • The To TrackID field has two functions

    • If you want to return the stock code to an existing TrackID, you must scan the TrackID, which will populate the To TrackID field

    • If you want to return the stock code to a new TrackID, you must leave this field blank. The system will generate a new TrackID in the Default Bin displayed on the screen. This has been pre-configured under Settings

Info

Note: Please note that a bin transfer will be performed to move the existing TrackID into the displayed default bin – this will typically be the physical bin location where the user is stationed to transact this return.

  • Select Post

Info

Note: If Post is selected, the software will perform a return of the stock code and lot, if applicable, from off the job and onto the TrackID specified in the To TrackID field.
