Packing cartons are mainly used for MSN grocery pack transactions. MSN grocery pack transactions are used in both small parcel and LTL orders. You'll first need to have your cartons set up to manage your MSN grocery pack transactions.

No default cartons exist when installing the software for the first time.

Try it!

Let’s look at creating a few cartons.

  • You can browse from the WMS Main Menu to Order Packing & Check Out / Check Out Options / MSN Grocery Pack / MSN Grocery Pack.

  • If you open the MSN Grocery Pack module you will notice under Carton Size that there are no Cartons configured

Configure Specific Carton Sizes

  • Carton sizes are configured under System Setup / Module Settings / Picking TrackID/Carton/Box Dims and Mass

  • Open the Picking TrackID/Carton/Box Dims and Mass window by double click on the menu item. You will notice there are no Cartons configured.

  • Click on the grey line below the header to enter the carton details

  • You can use your TAB to move from one field to the next

  • Add a suitable name in the Carton Name field

Note: we created three cartons in the video, named CartonS (for Small), CartonM (for Medium), and CartonL (for Large)

  • Capture the Volume of the carton

  • Capture the Fill Percentage – this can always be 100%

  • Add the Dimensions

  • Capture the Carton Mass

Note: You don’t need to capture any other fields.

  • Select Save

  • A message will state that your cartons are saved successfully

View cartons in the MSN grocery pack transactions module

Once you have created your cartons, you can view them. To view the cartons you just create go to View packing cartons
