This screen and the entire Load Planning Module are used by Distribution Centers that run a fleet of delivery vehicles. This report displays all released Pick Slips by a Sales Order Route code (received from SYSPRO’s Customer Master Table) in a graphical board.
Each board represents a route for current Pick Slips. Color assists the viewer (usually a Dispatch Manager) in reviewing the progress of Pick Slips moving through the Distribution Center. A Dispatch Manager will review the volume of products per route and plan the uploading delivery loads, including assigning a driver and truck to the route.
You can start by selecting the From Route and To Route.
Select the Status to be printed on the Load Schedule document.
Select Continue.
Review each route, and use the tools available to expedite picking slips where required.
Print the Suggested Trip sheet when the truck has arrived.
Print the Actual Trip Sheet once the truck is loaded.
From within the grids the Dispatch Manager can do the following:
Move the pick slip to a different route
Right-click on a Pick Slip and select Change Route.
See who is picking the order
Right-click and select View Picker(s)
See what status the pick is currently in
Refer to the P/SlipStatus column in the data gird.
View all orders that are taking to long to get through the process

SPECIAL FEATURES
Dispatch Managers can expedite Pick Slips to ensure they are picked, checked, invoiced, and placed in the correct Dispatch cage.
As Pick slips move through the warehouse process, they change color. Once Invoiced they turn green. The graphical board assists viewers in ensuring all Pick slips are green before the Delivery Truck arrival time.
When the assigned truck arrives the dispatch manager can assign the dock door (dispatch cage) and the truck will reverse up to this door. A suggested load plan is then printed from the module. This plan is used to find the orders and to load them (via scanner) onto the truck. This suggested load plan can be printed in order delivery sequence.
Once all invoices are loaded an Actual Trip Sheet is printed for the driver and the deliveries are made.
On return of the truck, any none delivered orders are scanned back into a cage (Unload on the scanner). These picking slips are shown in the grid in red and italic text. These order would be prioritized for the next delivery.
In a large distribution center there can be a large number of routes with many picking slips on each route. A separate refresh button existing on each route so that the user can refresh a single route at a time. Also, when opening the screen the user can select just the routes that he/she want to review at this time. many planning board screens can be run each showing their own set of routes.
One more interesting option on this screen is the ability to print released picking slips from the screen. Within DATASCOPE WMS we can set the Sales order release and Wave release screens to only release picking slips but not to print them. The load planning screen can then be used to release the actual printing of picking slips to create the "waves" through the warehouse.
This module works very well for distribution centers with their own delivery vehicles. It has a strong ROI
