Once the installation is complete, a new Windows Service will be located under Services, as shown below. This is the core service required for the panels to communicate with WMS and SYSPRO.

Image Added

Before starting the service, there is a single configuration file that needs to be updated; this is located in the following path:

C:\Program Files (x86)\DATASCOPE\DATASCOPE WMS SYSPRO Panels

The file is named as follows:

WMS.SysproExtensions.ServerService.exe.config

Open this file in Notepad and edit the following lines to reflect the WMS Server IP/Name as shown below:

Once this is done, the Windows Service mentioned above can be started, which completes the installation of the Server Component of the panels.

WMS Client Components

Once the Server Component is installed, the SYSPRO Client Component must be copied over to the SYSPRO Server.

The files required are located in the Server Installation directory, as shown below:

C:\Program Files (x86)\DATASCOPE\DATASCOPE WMS SYSPRO Panels\SYSPRO Files

There are two files required, the DLL and the Configuration file, as shown below:

In windows explorer, copy these files and copy them to the following location on the SYSPRO Server:

C:\SYSPRO7\Base\ManagedAssemblies

It should be noted that the “SYSPRO7” part of the above path depends on your specific installation of SYSPRO and may differ from this. However, the remainder of the path is consistent and should be followed.

Once the two files are copied, the WMS.SysproExtentions.Cloent.dll. config file should be edited to reflect the correct WMS Server IP/Name as shown below:

Typically, the port can be left unchanged. This concludes the installation of the panels. Please follow the configuration section below for details on setting up the panels within SYSPRO.

DATASCOPE WMS Picking Slips Panel

This panel can be added to the Sales Order Entry screen within SYSPRO. The exact process as described above should be followed. In this case, the Links for this Panel are the Customer and Sales Order, as shown below:

This panel will show any Picking Slips for the specific Customer and Sales order. This panel will also allow for Picking Slips to be released using the Picking Slip Release panel. This final Panel requires a VB script to be added to the Sales Order Entry Header. If the VB script is place implemented, the Release Panel will be displayed on the End Order button on the Sales Order Entry screen.

DATASCOPE WMS Picking Slips Release Panel

As mentioned above, this final panel depends on adding a VB Script as part of the WMS Picking Slips panel. Once the WMS Picking Slip panel has been added to the Sales Order Entry screen, click on the admin menu, and select System Settings, as shown below:

This will display the following screen. Selecting the “VB Script Examples” button will display some sample VBScripting. Copy this script.

The script should then be added to the Sales Order Entry Header, as shown below:

Once this is added, the below Picking Slip Release panel will be displayed to the operator when the End Order button is pressed.

The operator can then review the WMS Reservations and Release a Picking Slip, close the screen, etc.
