Dimensions and mass are typically updated just before pallets (Shipping TrackIDs) are ready to be dispatched. This will happen while a pallet is physically being weighed and measured.

A user would enter this information per Shipping TrackID either on the PC screen or the HTML5 scanner.

Info

Note: The Shipping TrackID must be in a status of IN_PACKING, and all pick slips must have been added to a Shipping TrackID before final dimensions and mass is added.

Info

Note: At this stage, none of the transactions has been posted to SYSPRO, and you will still be able to unpick or unpack stock. For more information on palletizing stock, refer to the HTML5 Shipping Palletization Module

  • Use the lookup icon next to the TrackID field to locate the first Shipping TrackID.

  • Capture the height, width, length and mass into the appropriate fields

When using the PC-based module, a A physical scale can be linked to the PC performing this function using the PC-based module. This will allow you to pull the actual mass of the product into the system. For more information, refer to Setting up the scale functionality.

  • Select Post

  • A pop-up will indicate that the information has been updated

  • If you refresh the Shipping TrackID tab on the Waybill/BOL Maintenance screen, you will notice that the Shipping Status has changed from IN_PACKING to PACKED and the dimensions and mass will be updated

  • Select the Refresh icon to update the screen.

Info

Note: The Shipping TrackID can be reprinted from this screen. Select the Print button in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. Once reprinted, it will be a more detailed Shipping TrackID, which includes the customer and weight.

The next step will be to truckload the finalized Shipping TrackIDs into the delivery vehicle when the shipping agent arrives - use the Truckload module on HTML5
