FUNCTIONALITY OVERVIEWThis program is used to cancel a picking slipOVERVIEW

The Pick Slip Status update application is an admin function and should only be used to correct failed transactions. There are a number of ways a picking slip can be cancelled in DATASCOPE WMS. This application will only allow a user to cancel a picking slip that is in a status before any items have been picked. i.e. the status must be CREATED; PRINTED; ASSIGNED.As soon as the picking slip has moved into STARTED or beyond this program will not allow the user to cancel the picking slip. It has to be cancelled on the scanner as it means that at least one product has been picked on this picking slip and that product or products will have to be unpicked and return to the bin locations before the pick slip can be canceled.When a picking slip is assigned to a user the software automatically creates a picking Tracking ID for this pick slip. Cancelling the pick slip will INACTIVATE the linked TrackID.When cancelling a pick slip the software will ask the user if the order in SYSPRO should be moved into suspense. This is very useful when a company is using the Sales Order Wave release to identify and release orders. If the pick slip is cancelled and the Sales Order is still in an open state in SYSPRO the release screen will release a new picking slip. In some cases you do not want the order to be re-released.

mode. times where a pick slip fails to invoice and the pick slip ends in an incorrect status. The failure could be caused by many thing but the most likely is a setting that is incorrect during go live or we have a situation such as a Sales Order canceled in SYSPRO during the checkout process. The ultimate checkout post fails because the order has been cancelled and we now need to force the pick slip back into a status that we can work with to return picked product to the shelves. 

Typically all Pick Slip status updates are managed in the software as the pick slip moves from one stage to the next.  

STANDARD PROCESS

  • Enter the Picking Slip number

  • Select the new Status from the drop down list 

  • Select Update to force the picking slip to a new state
