PIK012

(linked - Assigned Pick Slips (Order Release) [PIK012] )

FUNCTIONALITY OVERVIEW

This PC based pick slip assigning program is used by DATASCOPE clients who want to pre-assign picking slips to pickers. Typically the program runs on a PC in the pick slip release office in the warehouse. The PC would have a keyboard wedge scanner attached with an automated tab function enabled on the scanner.

As a picker comes to the office to get move work to pick, the assign resource will first scan the picker’s user ID card and then select one or more picking slips and scan each one. This will assign these picking slips to the picker. The picker can now take his or her scanner and start picking these picking slips.

STANDARD PROCESS

  • Scan operator ID card

  • Scan picking slip

  • Screen will say OK in green and picking slip will be assigned to user’s card that was scanned

SPECIAL FEATURES

  • As with scanner-based assigning, a picking slip can only be assigned to one user at a time

  • Not suitable for carton or area picking
