FUNCTIONALITY OVERVIEW
The factory status board can be used to track a job from operation to operation through the factory floor. Let us assume that your factory has 5 main work cells and every job passes from one cell to the next as it is being manufactured. Five large screens can be installed with on in each area. Then this factory status screens can be opened on each station and a set of Operations set. The screen will then show all jobs currently at this operation.
The module requires that you are posting labor against the SYSPRO job and updating the operations as complete. Each operation will have to be set as a milestone operation in SYSPRO.
STANDARD PROCESS
Set the "Include jobs with completed operations window
Set the "Exclude jobs with completed operations" window
Refresh the grid - you will see the jobs where the above criteria apply.
To explain the filters above. Let us say that you have 5 work operations that the jobs pass through. These are WORK1; WORK2; WORK3; WORK4; WORK5.
If you set the "Include jobs with completed operations as WORK3
And you set the "Exclude jobs with completed operations as "WORK4 and WORK5
This module is used to track jobs in production as they move from one operation/work center to the next operation/work center. Sometimes, a factory can have multiple Operation/Work Centers where products are being manufactured. Large screens can be installed at each Operation/Work Center to display this module - this is to assist users in managing the progress of the manufacturing process per Operation/Work Center.
The screens will then display all Jobs in production at a specific Operation/Work Center.
Users must then post labor against the SYSPRO Job and update the operation at each Operation/Work Center as it’s completed and moved on to the next Operation/Work Center.
To start using this screen at a Work Center, the filters applicable to that Work Center must be configured. Depending on the number of Work Centers (i.e., WORK1, WORK2, WORK3, WORK4, WORK5) in a factory, these filters will differ for each work area.
Setup the Include Jobs with Complete Operations by selecting the applicable (where the screen must be displayed) Work Center. This must be the Work Center, where all Jobs are posted but not yet completed.
For example, set WORK3 work center jobs.
Setup the Exclude Jobs with Complete Operations by selecting the next Work Center. This is typically the next Work Center in the process, but where the Jobs are already completed.
For example: set WORK4 and WORK5 to be excluded.
Select the Refresh icon to load the data grid.
The screen will show all jobs where the WORK3 has been posted, but will exclude all jobs where
WORK4 and WORK5 are completed.
Therefore, you will
see all jobs
completed at WORK3, but have not
been processed at WORK4.
