FUNCTIONALITY OVERVIEW

This application is designed for use

This module allows users to open multiple jobs for a single stock code easily. So rather than raising one job for ten thousand products, we can use this module to raise ten jobs, each containing one thousand components quickly.

This is typically used by manufacturing companies involved in blending batches of

product

products

In most blending operations, a large job

needs to

must be split into many jobs limited to the size of the blending machinery. So if a job is required for ten tons of product, but the blender can only hold two tons, then the operator would need to open 5 x 2-ton jobs. This

program

module allows an operator to select a stock code and enter

a number of

many batches and batch sizes to

create

be created. This will open these jobs in SYSPRO in non-confirmed status.

This functionality is very useful in blending operations

as the

. The overall blending time can be reduced on large batches if a “pre-blend or premix” is first blended with key concentrate ingredients

and then

. Then this “concentrated” blend is added to each bland batch later as a kit-issue item.

So a typical example may be as follows

Example:

We want to blend 10 tons of product A. Due to the size of the blender, we will raise

5 x

five 2-ton jobs and a 6th job for 523kgs of premix. The full set of jobs is released into picking slips in DATASCOPE WMS and released to the floor. The premix is picked first and blended. While this is being blended the other 5 blend jobs are picked. At the time of blending the five 2-ton jobs the premix is split equally and added to each 2-ton mix. The actual blend time of each 2-ton blend reduced dramatically.

This mode of running blend jobs requires careful setup of the
