The next step in configuring the Load Planning module is to set up the trucks and driver details within DATASCOPE PREMIUM WMS.

Set up Trucks.

The Trucks that must be set up refer to your transport vehicles.

  • From the Main Menu, browse to Load Planning / Setup / Trucks

  • The Trucks screen will open.

  • Add your first truck by clicking on the field to the right of the start under VRN (Vehicle Registration Number). You can specify unique VRNs, including the maximum mass, volume, GVM, and capacity.

Note: If you don’t have the maximum mass, volume, GVM, and capacity, you can leave it blank.

  • Select Save to save your new Truck.

  • Next, the Drivers can be set up.

Set up Drivers.

  • From the Main Menu, browse to Load Planning / Setup / Drivers

  • The Drivers screen will open.

  • Add your first driver by clicking on the field to the right of the start under Name and enter the Name and Surname.

  • Assign a Designation to each driver by selecting the Designation drop-down.

  • Select the driver's Default VRN (Vehicle Registration Number) by selecting the Default VRN drop-down.

Info

Note: The trucks must be set up before the drivers are added.

  • Select Save to save the changes.

  • A pop-up will appear stating the information has been saved.

  • The Delivery Route assigned to a customer will be visible on the Sales Order Release screen - Viewing Orders per Route
