This module prints TrackIDs linked to more than one pallet to move the stock codes (ingredients) applicable for specific Job cards to the factory workstation. This is used in a blending-type manufacturing plant where DATASCOPE WMS is running, and SYSPRO Job Cards are being used, and where the stock codes (ingredients) for a Job can span over four or five pallets that will be blended together. This ensures that incorrect stock codes (ingredients) are loaded into the blending machines. The product will be rejected if incorrect stock codes (ingredients) are loaded in a blending machine.

The software allows for Job pick slips to be picked onto separate picking pallets. The picker can then use this module to print the required number (depending on the number of pallets) of TrackIDs and link it to the Job pick slip. The picker then picks the required stock codes for the Job and loads them on the picking pallets (TrackIDs) to move all the stock to the factory workstation. These Job pick slips on the picking pallets demarcate the linked picked pallets (TrackIDs) - this will ensure that no incorrect stock codes are loaded into the blending machines.

The Job would already be open in SYSPRO and a Pick Slip would have been generated for this Job before this module is used.

  • Enter or select the Job number from the Job field.

  • The Sales Order field will populate automatically, if applicable.

  • Enter or select the Warehouse. This is the Warehouse(s) in which the individual stock codes (ingredients) will be picked. Based on how the picking has been setup, these components/ingredients might come from different Warehouses.

  • Enter or select the applicable Zone, if required. This is an Optional field and can be left blank.

  • Select the linked Job Pick Slip. There might be more than one Pick Slip for a Job. If this field is blank, the pick slip is already in a COMPLETE or CANCEL state, or the Sales Order/Job has no pick slip). A Pick Slip must first be created for the Job or Sales Order.

  • Enter the number of unique TrackIDs required (depending on the number of pallets) in the No of TrackIDs field

  • Enter the number of copies of each TrackID label (you can put a label on all four sides of the pallet) in the No of Copies field.

  • Select Print

  • If a pop-up message appear, stating, BOX_PICKING_REQUIRED must be enabled for this warehouse to use this screen, then a Warehouse Setting must be updated. Refer to TECHNICAL.

SPECIAL FEATURES

  • Selecting the warehouse will determine to which warehouse and picking bin location the picked product is moved. It is, therefore, possible to open a Picking Track ID in another warehouse and as you pick onto this TrackID, the components/ingredients stock will be transferred to the new warehouse.

TECHNICAL

  • You must ensure the System Settings are configured correctly when printing to a physical printer. The PICKING_PALLET_LABELING setting under Settings / Printers on the Ribbon Bar must point to the physical printer. For more information, refer to Configure Printers.

  • Please ensure the appropriate .rpt label format is configured to print these TrackIDs. To add a .rpt format, browse to System Settings / PICKING_PALLET. The SettingName JOB_TEMPLATE must have the appropriate SettingValue = DATASCOPE_TRACKID_JOB_4X2.5.rpt and the SettingName SALES_ORDER_TEMPLATE must have the appropriate SettingValue = DATASCOPE_TRACKID_SALES_4X2.5.rpt.

  • For this screen you will also have to turn on box picking (per warehouse) as it requires that stock must be picked into boxes. If switched on, picking pallets for each box will be created as the user picks. Select Settings / Warehouse Settings from the Ribbon bar and select the applicable warehouse from the Warehouse drop-down. Locate DISPATCH in the System Name drop-down. Update the BOX_PICKING_REQUIRED Setting values to Y(es).

  • Within DATASCOPE PREMIUM there are typically two options for picking. 1) Default Bin (where all the stock gets moved into when picking the stock) 2) Manual Bin (a Bin will be created per Pick Slip for the picked stock to go into) The following settings apply for each:

    1. Default Bin - On the Ribbon Bar browse to Settings / System Settings / DISPATCH / DEFAULT_BIN and add the default Bin name in the SettingValue field

    2. Manual Bin - On the Ribbon Bar browse to Setting / System Settings / GENERAL / PICK_BIN_EQUAL_TO_PICKING_SLIP_NUMBER and update the SettingValue to Y(es). For this option the pick slip must already be assigned to an Operator, otherwise the Bin will not exist. This Bin, however, needs to exist so that Picking TrackID can be created.
