The Cycle Count Analysis report analyzes Cycle Count History. By using the various filters, dragging up data to sort and sum the data into various forms can assist the user in identifying trends from past Cycle Counts.
For example, drag up Year and Month and ABC Classification. The report will then show all count summaries for each year broken up by month and ABC Classification.
Select Enter the From Date and To Date for which the report must run.
Various filters can be selected to review the data.
From ABC Analysis drop-down, you can select to view either one or all options.
You cannot enter the From and To Stock Codes if the Show All Stock Codes are selected. This option will give an overall picture instead of just seeing stock codes that were counted.
If the Only Show Counted option is selected, then you must enter a Stock Code range.
If the Include No ABC Class is selected, all Cycle Counts with no ABC Classes will display
If changes were made to the filters, select the Refresh icon to reload the data grid.
Drag columns up to the Drag a column header here to group by that column section to analyze the data. It’s a good idea to run this report for an entire year.
The From Stock Code and To Stock Code filters can also be used.
The report can also be run for a specific warehouse. Select the warehouse from the Warehouse drop-down menu.
Other useful filters are:
o Show All Stock Codes – this check box is selected by default and will show all stock codes.
o Only Show Counted – this option will only display bins already counted.
o Include No ABC Class – this option will display bins with no SYSPRO ABC category defined.

Note: The ABC category in SYSPRO categorizes stock codes into four classes using PA-REEE-TOE analysis, which is the 80/20 principle. Concentrating on your A-class items can achieve greater results with less effort. When companies need to establish the percentage of each product contributing to the overall costs, they can use the ABC Classification facility in SYSPRO to monitor this over some time. In SYSPRO, each stock code is typically registered as an A, B, C, or D item. This is done under Inventory / Reports / ABC Analysis. This is the classification that the Cycle Count Analysis report displays. |
The report displays a progress bar under the filter options, which displays a percentage of how many stock codes have been counted versus the total number of stock codes linked to the selected warehouse in SYSPRO.
To start analyzing the data, you can drag the column heading to the Drag a column heading here to group by that column section.
Expanding the columns in the data grid will give you a good idea of how many items per ABC category, per month, and per year have been cycle counted.
This report can be used in conjunction with the Cycle Count History report to prove that certain stock codes are being counted timeously. This reduces the requirement for a full wall-to-wall stock count at yearend, which consumes manpower and reduces available production hours.

When a company needs to establish the percentage each product contributes to the overall costs, they can use the ABC Classification facility in SYSPRO to monitor this over a period of time.
