Managing Job Pick slips becomes paramount in a Manufacturing plant using DATASCOPE WMS and SYSPRO Job Cards. Some manufacturing jobs involve stock codes spanning multiple pallets, later blended to produce the final product. To maintain precision and avoid any mix-ups, this screen allows the generation of Job Pick slips linked to more than one TrackID (pallet), facilitating the organized movement of stock codes applicable to specific Job cards.

This screen creates a new picking TrackID for a pick slip.

Note: It does not reprint an existing TrackID, but creates a new one.

This is primarily used by sites using the Factory Management Module. When performing scanner-based picking, TrackIDs are printed prior to picking, however, it can be underestimated how many labels are required. This screen allows Operators to print additional TrackIDs to scan stock as they pick.

Note: It is advised that this screen only be used by an Administrator.

  • Enter or locate using the lookup icon the Job or Sales Order number in the Job or Sales Order fields

  • Select the applicable Warehouse

  • Select the applicable Zone (this is an optional field)

  • Select the linked Pick Slip from the Pick Slip drop-down. If this field is blank then the pick slip is already in a COMPLETE or CANCELLSED state, or the Sales Order/Job has no pick slip)

  • Select the No of TrackIDs and No of Copies.

  • Select Print

SPECIAL FEATURES

  • This will create a TrackID with box numbers (i.e. in the same format as Picking to Box – PKnumber+WH+Zone+B#) so is not advised if pick to picking slip is being used.

FUNCIONALITY OVERVIEW

  • This DATASCOPE WMS program should only be used by an administrator. The function allows the user to create a picking tracking ID for a picking slip. i.e. it does not reprint an existing picking pallet but creates a new one.

  • This is used primarily on sites using the factory management module. When the users are performing scanner based picking, they print the picking pallet labels before they start to pick, and may underestimate how many labels they require. This screen allows them to print another picking pallet and scan stock to it as they pick.

  • In the standard software a picking pallet (tracking ID) is automatically created as soon as the user assigns a picking slip onto his name. There are times however when the transaction fails while posting due to wireless network issues. This program can be used to create the tracking ID.

STANDARD PROCESS

  • Enter or select the job or sales order number using the lookup function (this is all sales orders not cancelled or complete, whether they have picking slips or not)

  • Select warehouse, and the zone if applicable

  • Select the picking slip number (if blank the picking slip is complete/cancelled or the order has no picking slip)

  • Click print

SPECIAL FEATURES

  • Number of picking pallets and number of copies can be selected

  • This will create picking pallets with box numbers (ie in the same format as picking to box – PKnumber+WH+Zone+B#) so is not advised if pick to picking slip is being used.
