HTML / Convert Stock code [MOV003]
The stock code conversion process in DATSCOPE WMS can be done on either the PC or HTML scanner. The process is the same on both screens, except there is space for a TrackID reference on the PC screen.
If you don’t like reading, you can watch the video.
Try it!
To open the HTML 5 scanner-based window from the PC, go to the Ribbon Bar and select Launch HTML 5. This will open the HTML 5 sub-menu.
Click on the Launch HTML 5 icon.
Your HTML 5 scanner window will load.
From the lookup icon, you can search for Convert Stock Code
Enter or scan the TrackID (supplying TrackID) of the Stock code you want to convert to a new TrackID into the TrackID field.
Select the Stock code. It might be a multiple stock code pallet.
The Bin and the TrackID Qty will display on the screen automatically.
The Qty to Change refers to the Qty of cases (in our example, it will be the primary Stock code A100) you want to convert.
Enter or select the New Stock code. This will refer to all the Alternate Stock Code created in SYSPRO.
Note: It is possible to have more than one Alternate Stock Code.
The New Quantity will automatically update according to the Conversion Factor and the Conversion Method used when the Alternate Stock Code was created. This field is not editable; therefore, great care must be taken when setting up the Alternate Stock Codes within SYSPRO.
Enter the To TrackID field to place the converted stock on. This can either be an existing TrackID that is in an ACTIVE status or leave the field blank.
If the To TrackID field is left blank a new TrackID will be created.
The Printer selection box will appear to print the new TrackID containing the converted stock items.
Note: These new TrackIDs will be added to a configured Bin. To see or change the Bin, select Settings / Warehouse Settings on the Ribbon Bar, and locate the System Name SCANNER_ALTERNATE_STOCK. Review or update the DEFAULT_BIN SettingName. Select Apply at the bottom of the screen if the Bin is changed.
View the TrackID History Report to see whether the Stock code was converted to a new TrackID successfully.
