At the bottom of each Route window’s data grid, a Print Suggested button is visible.
Select the Print Suggested button.
A printer pop-up will appear. Hovering over the Company Printer(s) text will display the System Action for this specific screen.
Note: To print to a physical printer, you must ensure the System Settings are configured correctly and update the Printer Settings. The LOAD_PLANNING setting under Settings / Printers on the Ribbon Bar must point to the physical printer.
A report will print with every pick slip on the route with the statuses selected when the Load Planning Board was opened.
Note: The Suggested Load Planning report will only print if a Driver and/or Truck has been selected in the specific Route header.
Note: Ensure the correct .rpt template has been configured under System Settings. On the Ribbon Bar, browse to Settings / System Settings. Locate the LOAD_PLANNING setting name and add the DATASCOPE_LOADPLAN_SUGGESTED_LETTER.rpt template to the LOAD_SCHEDULE setting name.
This report must be given to the Truck Loaders handling the packing of the truck in the Dispatch area.
These reports can be printed as often as required for the same route, as no transactions happen during printing.
Note: The number of copies to be printed can be set under system settings. Browse Settings / System Settings on the Ribbon Bar and locate the LOAD_PLANNING System Name. Update the SUGGESTED_LOAD_PLAN_PRINT_NO setting with the number of copies required each time the report is printed.
After the pick slips are picked, checked, and invoiced, DATASCOPE PREMIUM WMS allows for an optional process of putting the picked orders into a Dispatch Bin.
Using Dispatch Bins is not mandatory but can be helpful to group pick slips (orders) for the same route when using this Load Planning module.
Loading the pick slips (orders) physically on the truck is done by scanning the pick slips in using the Truck Load HTML5 screen on your mobile device. The pick slips must be loaded in the correct sequence as per the Suggested Load Planning report.
To open the HTML 5 scanner window from the PC, go to the Ribbon bar at the top and select Launch HTML5. This will open the HTML 5 sub-menu.
Click on the Launch HTML 5 icon.
Your HTML 5 scanner window will load.
Note: This is the window the warehouse staff will see on their scanners.
Use the search icon to locate the Truck Loading (or Truck Unload) module easily or browse through the windows.
Note: The Shipping Truck Load and Shipping Truck Unload HTML5 modules are only used with the Shipping module and are not to be used with the Load Planning module.
Typically, you would truck load Route by Route. Therefore, the first field selected is the Route.
Select the applicable Route from the Route drop-down (or scan it in with your mobile scanner) listed on the Suggested Load Plan report and visible on the pick slip.
Scan or enter the SYSPRO Invoice, Dispatch Note, or DATASCOPE PREMIUM WMS pick slip number (refer to the PS) in the Inv / PS / Disp Note field.
Note: Pick slips must be in an INVOICED, D/NOTE, or UNLOADED status to be truck loaded. If a pick slip has an incorrect status, follow up with the picker or review the Pick Slip Review screen. Pick Slip status can also be updated by a System Administrator, via the Pick Slip Status Update screen.
Once scanned, the Dispatch Bin in which the pick slip is located will display.
Note: The Dispatch Bin will only appear if the Dispatch Bin process has been adopted. If not, then the Dispatch Bin field will not be visible.
Select Post.
This will update the pick slip status to LOADED.
The order will physically be loaded into the truck.
The Route window on the Load Planning Board will update, and the loaded pick slip will change color and status to LOADED.
This process must be done for each Route until all pick slips are scanned and loaded into the truck.
If there is a Waybill number or Reference number you want to use for the Trip Sheet, it can be entered into the free text Waybill field provided in the Route Window header.
This Waybill field can be inserted to print on the Trip Sheet if required.[EK1]
Once pick slips have been truck loaded, an actual Trip Sheet can be printed.
Select the Print Actual button.
All the pick slips with a status LOADED will be printed on the Trip Sheet. A pop-up will appear with a unique Trip Sheet number.
Note: The number of copies to be printed can be set under system settings. Browse Settings / System Settings on the Ribbon Bar and locate the LOAD_PLANNING System Name. Update the TRIP_SHEET_PRINT_NO setting with the number of copies required each time the report is printed.
Note: Ensure the correct .rpt template has been configured under System Settings. On the Ribbon Bar, browse to Settings / System Settings. Locate the LOAD_PLANNING setting name and add the DATASCOPE_LOADPLAN_ACTUAL_LETTER.rpt template to the TRIP_SHEET setting name.
The pick slips with a status of LOADED will disappear from the Load Planning Board once the Trip Sheet has been printed.
The Trip Sheet will accompany the Truck driver on the Route while delivering the orders.
