A Picking TrackID is generated automatically at the point of picking during the pick slip creation process. A Picking TrackID is the entity onto which any pick slip is picked. It can be the pick slip itself, a physical pallet, a carton, or even a box. This TrackID has the same number as the pick slip plus the warehouse code.

This TrackID is used to move the stock from the supplying TrackID (whether this is a Pickface bin or a bulk pallet) onto the picking slip TrackID.

A TrackID passes through several statuses in the system as transactions take place. Each TrackID Type has different statuses, but generally, when a TrackID is generated, the first status is CREATED.

See below the various statuses per TrackID Type.

The Picking TrackID Type has the following statuses:

  • CREATED

  • PRINTED

  • ASSIGNED

  • STARTED

  • PICKED

  • CHECKED

  • SHIPPING

  • INVOIVCED/DNOTE

  • DISPATCH

  • COMPLETE

  • LOADED/UNLOADED

  • CANCELLED

Try it!

  • Open DATASCOPE PREMIUM WMS

  • From the Main Menu, browse to Order Release / Pick Slip Management / Pick Slip Review

  • Select the refresh icon.

  • The data grid will load.

  • Right-click on a line item and select View TrackID

  • The Information Check (Pick Slip Review Redirect) screen will open.

  • Notice that the type of the TrackID will be visible in the TrackID Type column.

  • This TrackID also has the same number as the pick slip plus the warehouse code.
