Use this guide to learn more about installing the FASTTRACK WMS PC client to multiple machines on your warehouse floor by using Click Once

Click Once is a component of Microsoft Deployment Framework and supports deploying applications by installing and running it with minimal user interaction.

Note: These FASTTRACK WMS PC clients must be deployed on a user profile level. Click Once deployment installs the application on a user profile level, so if you have multiple PCs with individual user profiles, the application must be deployed individually on each PC or user profile. TAKE NOTE: It is not a single install for all profiles at once.

This user guide covers the PC-client installation process by using Click Once.

Installing the PC-Client

To install the FASTTRACK WMS PC client on all the PCs on your warehouse floor you can follow the steps below:

Note: The first part of the address is the IP address of the Docker Container. The Docker Container installation is a prerequisite before you can start installing the PC client. For more information, refer to the FASTTRACK WMS Installation Guide

  • A DATASCOPE WMS v5.0 webpage will open

Note: The .NET Framework 4.5.1 is a SP1 prerequisite.

  • Select the Install button

  • The file will be downloaded, or it can automatically run. This will depend on the browser you are using

Note: If the file does download first, you can open it from your downloads folder.

  • The Application Install window will open

  • Select Install again

  • Notice it will download the initial install file from the Docker Container

  • If a windows security prompt appears, then click on the More Info link. Next, Click on Run Anyway button

  • Once completed installing FASTTRACK WMS will open

Note: If there are updates to the application, users will get a prompt to update. Through this process, the client does not have to be reinstalled.

Finding the FASTTRACK WMS client

  • Open your Control Panel by searching for it from your Windows Search

  • Go to Programs

  • Open Programs and Features

  • You will find DATASCOPE WMS 5.0 in the list

  • You will also be able to uninstall it from here
