User Licensing [SET081]

Any WMS user must be a valid SYSPRO user, and all SYSPRO operator and group permissions and securities carry over from SYSPRO to DATASCOPE WMS. So you’ll need to ensure that users are first created within SYSPRO.

The next step happens after the SYSPRO user has correctly been configured with e.net licenses. The SYSPRO user must now be marked as a DATASCOPE WMS user.

At the top of the User Licensing screen, you will see how many days your current License will Expire.

  • Select the check mark under the Licensed column to add a user.

  • If you purchased the WMS E.Net Objects module and users are linked to the E.Net Business Objects Layer, you get the same number of E.Net Licensed Seats per DATASCOPE WMS Licensed Seats. This is useful if certain users don’t need to work in DATASCOPE WMS, but occasionally need to post transactions via your installed Production system. The E.Net Licensed user doesn’t necessarily have to be the same as the DATASCOPE WMS Licensed user. Both must, however, have SYSPRO licensing.

Note: The Licensed Seat view at the bottom of the screen will update with the number of users checked.

  • Select Apply at the bottom right of the screen.

  • Once a user has been marked as a DATASCOPE WMS user, they can also be linked to a specific group.

SPECIAL FEATURES

  • You get the same number of E.Net Business Objects licensed seats as DATASCOPE. However, the WMS E.Net Objects module must form part of your license agreement. This is useful if certain users don’t need to work in DATASCOPE WMS, but occasionally need to post transactions via your installed Production system.
