Tab Settings on scanners

Use this guide to learn how to adjust the Auto Tab setting on scanners.
All our scanner applications are designed on HTML5 and run on Android version 8 or later. Therefore, the software can run on any external Android device, however we’ve identified a few preferred devices. For more information on these devices refer to our website - Supported Scanners and Barcode Label Printers
By design, if you press Enter you activate a button (for example the Post button) to go to a next screen or action, however, some of our HTML 5 scanner applications have multiple fields and therefore you cannot Enter from one field to the next but must rather use TAB to go from one field to the next.
This user guide explains the settings to be changed for the following devices, so that you can Tab from one field to the next and not use the Enter key.

DATALOGIC Scorpio X5
The following process explain how to set the Auto TAB functionality on a DATALOGIC Scorpio X5 scanner when scanning barcodes.
On your scanner screen you can drag up from the little Options button upwards
Various options will be available, select the Settings option
Locate the DataLogic Settings section
Browse to the Scanner Settings
From the Scanner Settings screen you can select Formatting
Select Standard Formatting
Select the Label Suffix option
Select the drop-down option next to Add Special and select [HT]. [HT] refer to the Tab character on the scanner
Select OK
Next, you must use your back button twice to go back two screens. Ensure to stop on the Scanner Settings screen
Scroll down to Commit and select
A Commit pop-up will appear. Select OK
You have now changed the Auto Tab functionality to TAB between fields on the same screen and not Enter.
Honeywell CK65
The following process explain how to set the Auto TAB functionality on a Honeywell CK65 scanner when scanning barcodes.
On your scanner screen you can drag up from the little Options button upwards
Various options will be available, select the Honeywell Settings option
Browse to Scanning
Select the Internal Scanner option
Select Default Profile setting
Select the Data Processing setting
Open the Suffix setting
Enter the value \t and select OK (this is the Auto Tab option)
You have now changed the Auto Tab functionality to TAB between fields on the same screen and not Enter

The following process explain how to set the Auto TAB functionality on a DATALOGIC Scorpio X5 scanner when scanning barcodes.
On your scanner screen you can drag up from the little Options button upwards
Various options will be available, located the KeyboardEmulator app as indicated below
Once opened, select AppSettings and scroll down to the End mark option. Ensure ONLY the TAB option is selected, and not the Enter option
