Stock Take and Cycle Count / Reports / Stock Take Prep Report [STK050]
This report is used when preparing a Stock Take or inventory count, specifically for a closed pallet count. In a warehouse inventory stock take, a closed pallet count refers to counting and verifying the inventory on a pallet without opening or breaking down the pallet's packaging. This method is typically used when the pallet is fully sealed or when the items on the pallet are uniform.
The report displays every pallet available in a selected warehouse in DATASCOPE PREMIUM WMS, including stock counts and Lot details on each pallet. The last transaction on each pallet is also visible to ensure an informed decision about whether to count the details of the pallet in the stock take or whether the pallet can be counted as a closed pallet.
The warehouse manager must run this report a week or two weeks before the scheduled stock-take date for the desired warehouse to get a clear overview of which pallets can be counted as closed pallets, which must be opened, and all stock codes must be counted.

From the Main menu, browse Stock Take and Cycle Counting / Reports / Stock Take Prep Report.
· The Stock Take Prep Report screen will open.
Select the warehouse from the Warehouse drop-down menu for the planned stock take.
The From Bin and To Bin fields can enter a specific range of bins. If you leave this blank, the report will run for all bins in the select Warehouse.
If the last movement (visible in the MovementType column) on a pallet was a Cycle Count [JM1] or the pallet QTY matches (Qty column) the TrackID QTY (Original TrackID Qty column), then the pallet quantity is very likely to be accurate[JM2] and can be wrapped and counted in a closed pallet stock take. This confirms the pallet is in the recorded bin and does not have to be unwrapped and recounted.
Closed pallet stock takes are significantly faster but are only possible on slower-moving stock or in bulk bin locations.
The Cycle Count Date column indicates the last time the TrackID was cycle counted.
Typically, a cycle count will be scheduled for all slow-moving stock before the actual stock count weekend. If the last transaction on a TrackID was a cycle count (visible in the Cycle Count Date column), it can be counted as a closed pallet count.
The Movement Date and MovementType columns display the last movement for the specific TrackID. These values can help the warehouse manager determine if a TrackID needs to be opened and if each stock code should be counted or wrapped and counted as part of the closed pallet stock take.
If the last movement, displayed in the MovementType column, is PICKING or PALLET_CONSOLIDATION, all TrackIDs must be physically counted.
If the last movement is STOCKTAKE or CYCLECOUNT, the TrackID will still have the correct QTY and can be counted as a closed pallet stock take.
To view pallets with zero QTYs, select the Include Zero Qty check box.
To view Inactive pallets, select the Include All Inactive check box.
