Welcome to the 'Print Picking TrackIDs' screen, a vital module within the WMS system designed to streamline the printing of Job Pick slips for efficient stock movement in blending-type manufacturing plants. This module is critical in ensuring that the correct stock codes (ingredients) are accurately loaded into blending machines, preventing product rejection due to errors.
Managing Job Pick slips becomes paramount in the context of a manufacturing plant using DATASCOPE WMS in conjunction with SYSPRO Job Cards. Some manufacturing jobs involve stock codes spanning multiple pallets, which are later blended to produce the final product. To maintain precision and avoid any mix-ups, the 'Print Picking TrackIDs' screen allows the generation of Job Pick slips linked to more than one pallet, facilitating the organized movement of stock codes applicable to specific Job cards.
With this software, picking pallets can be utilized for segregating Job Pick slips, and the picker can effortlessly print the required number of Job Pick Slips and associate them with the corresponding picking pallets. This enables the picker to efficiently select the necessary stock codes for the Job and place them onto the designated picking pallets, ultimately transporting all the required stock to the factory workstation.
The Job Pick Slips on the picking pallets serve as clear demarcations, ensuring that linked pallets contain the correct stock codes, leaving no room for incorrect ingredients to be loaded into the blending machines. Try it!
Enter or select the Job number from the Job field.
The Sales Order field will populate automatically, if applicable.
Enter or select the Warehouse. This is the Warehouse(s) in which the individual stock codes (ingredients) will be picked. Based on how the picking has been setup, these components/ingredients might come from different Warehouses.
Enter or select the applicable Zone, if required. This is an Optional field and can be left blank.
Select the linked Job Pick Slip. There might be more than one Pick Slip for a Job. If this field is blank, the pick slip is already in a COMPLETE or CANCEL state, or the Sales Order/Job has no pick slip). A Pick Slip must first be created for the Job or Sales Order.
Enter the number of unique TrackIDs required (depending on the number of pallets) in the No of TrackIDs field
Enter the number of copies of each TrackID label (you can put a label on all four sides of the pallet) in the No of Copies field.
Select Print
If a pop-up message appear, stating, BOX_PICKING_REQUIRED must be enabled for this warehouse to use this screen, then a Warehouse Setting must be updated.
