Let’s review these settings within SYSPRO:

  • Open SYSPRO

  • In the Ribbon bar, select Setup / Setup Options

Select Setup / Setup Options in the SYSPRO Ribbon Bar
  • The Setup Options screen will open.

SYSPRO Setup Options screen
  • Search for Automatic Depletion in in the top right corner search box.

  • Under this setting, you can set up Automatic depletion for the Kit issue, Sales Order, Both, or None.

  • Below is a detailed explanation of each setting:

    • If Kit Issues is selected = SYSPRO will automatically deplete bins and lots for WIP kit issues only. Stock is first issued from the oldest, smallest lot and/or bins. This setting overrides any DATASCOPE WMS settings. Therefore, if SYSPRO must control issuing of WIP kit issues without any reference to DATASCOPE WMS, it must be set to Kit Issue

    • If a Sales Order is selected = SYSPRO will automatically deplete lots and bins in the Sales Order entry. This setting overrides any DATASCOPE WMS settings. This setting must NEVER be selected when running DATASCOPE WMS for Sales Order picking. Otherwise, the bins and lots provided by DATASCOPE WMS will be ignored.

    • If Both are selected = SYSPRO will apply automatic depletion to both Kit Issues and Sales Orders. This setting must NEVER be selected if running DATASCOPE WMS for Sales Order picking.

    • If None is selected = SYSPRO will not apply any automatic depletion, and the bins and/or lots supplied by DATASCOPE WMS will be used for both kit issues and sales orders.

  • Therefore, if using WIP Warehouses in DATASDCOPE WMS for your Kit Issues, the Kit Issue option under the SYSPRO setting must be selected for SYSPRO to manage the Kit Issue from the WIP Warehouse and not DATASCOPE WMS.
