System Setup / Printer Setup / Printers [SET090]

To setup a printer against the appropriate System Action (for example, printing Sales Order Pick Slips) within DATASCOPE WMS

To view the System Action on the printer pop-up on the appropriate screen, refer to Viewing Printer Settings

If you don’t like reading, you can watch the video.

Try it!

  • On the Main Menu, browse to System Setup / Printer Setup / Printers

  • The Printers window will open

Note:  There is also a shortcut to this window from the Ribbon Bar. Locate Settings and select Printers

Note:  The data grid displays all System Actions that could be configured to print somewhere against each warehouse. Each System Action can be configured to print to a different printer per Warehouse.  The default FASTTRACK WMS installation has already configured each System Action to print to the IISPDFPrinter.

  • By using the filter at the top of the data grid you can locate the desired Warehouse and System Action for which you want to change the printer

  • Change the printer’s name from IISPDFPrinter to your printer by using the filter drop-down in the Name column. As we already registered the printer, it will be visible in the drop-down

  • Select Apply in the bottom-right corner of the screen

  • You also can choose which printer you want to print to. To configure the printer, you can add another new record at the bottom of the data grid

Note:  Ensure to set up at least one label printer and one letter format printer. The letter format printer is required to print Sales Orders, and Job Pick slips, as well as the MSN Grocery Checkout Packing list.

  • Scroll to the bottom of the data grid and select a new line. Add the warehouse, System Action and IISPDFPrinter

  • Select the tick box under the Default column of which printer you want to be your default

Note:  When printing your Sales Order Pick slip (as we used that System Action as our example), the printer dialog box will contain both printers, and the Brother printer will be the default.

Note: To identify which System Action controls which printer dialog box, you can hover your mouse over the Company Printer text on the Printer pop-up from any screen, and you will see the System Action name. You can then search for that System Action name under Settings / Printers on the Ribbon Bar to change the printer if required.
