For WMS to assist with picking components, the Jobs must be created and confirmed in SYSPRO.  WMS can only reserve and pick jobs that are non-kit issued. Therefore, the Kit issued status must be equal to No within SYSPRO.

To create a Job in SYSPRO, go to Create a Job in SYSPRO

To verify whether a job has been created and confirmed in SYSPRO, you can follow the steps below:

  • Browse to Work In Progress / Job Query

  • Double-click to open the Job Query screen and type in or search for your Job number

    • Open SYSPRO

    • Browse to Work In Progress / Job Query

    • Double-click to open the Job Query screen and type in or search for your Job number

    • The Job Status must state Confirmed

    • Close the Job Query screen

    Verify if job is non-kit issued

    To verify whether a job is non-kit issued in SYSPRO, you can follow the steps below:

    • From the SYSPRO main menu, you can browse to Bill of Materials / Setup / Structures and Routings

    • Search or select the Parent stock code

    • In the Components window, confirm whether the stock code is Kit issued or not

    • View the Kit Issue column. This must equal NO

    • The stock codes with Kit Issue=No are the only ones WMS can reserve and pick

    Once the job has been created and confirmed within SYSPRO, you can move over to WMS. Let us release a Job in WMS - Release a Job
