Quality Control / Quality Data Setup / Stock Code Quality Specification [QUC004]

This screen lists all the tests linked to a stock code via the Stock Code Test Maintenance screen and allows the user to set up the specifications for each test.

  • From the Main Menu, browse to Quality Control / Quality Data Setup / Stock Code Quality Specification

  • The Stock Code Quality Specification will open.

  • Enter the applicable Stock Code in the Stock Code field or use the lookup icon to locate.

  • Select the Refresh icon.

  • Notice, all tests added to the Stock Code (via the Stock Code Test Maintenance screen) will be listed in the data grid.

  • Next, the specifications for each test for the specific Stock Code can be setup.

  • The Test Type is also visible in the data grid and must be setup according to the type. CONFORM (Conformance Tests) vs TOL (Tolerance Tests).

o   Conformance Tests – these have a Boolean value of either True or False. To pass this type of test, the results of test should match the Boolean value selected. If the sample does not match the configured value, then the test fails.

§  To configure this, you must select the Conf. Value column check box.

o   Tolerance Tests – this test has a lower and upper range that the sample test result needs to fall into to pass. The % Pass Threshold is the percentage of samples that need to pass for the whole test to pass.

§  To configure this, enter the Lower, Upper, and % Pass Threshold columns.

  • The Sample Type, Sample Value and Sample Size must also be entered depending on the Test Type.

  • The Sample Type can be either one of the following:

o   % OF – a percentage of the (Sample Value) amount being received will have a test created for.

o   TOTAL OF – takes a specific amount (Sample Value) when received and creates several tests based on that.

o   RUNNING TOTAL – checks the running total (that is stored in the database) of the quantity received. If the running total + new QTY is greater than the sample value, then several tests will be created based on the Sample Size.

o   RECEIPT – checks the number of receipts (that is stored in the database) whose Sample Value has been reached and creates several tests based on the Sample Size.

  • The Sample Value refers to the number of samples received.

  • The Sample Size must be …… 

  • The Att button can add any attachments required or created for the specific stock code. It will display any test documents already added to the test, and the user can add more attachments applicable to the Stock Code.

o   Click on the button.

o   The Link Attachments screen will open.

o   Select the Browse button to upload a file.

Note: Any file format can be uploaded.

o   Select the Add button to add the attachment (test) to the Stock Code.
