Use this guide to learn how to adjust the Auto Tab setting on scanners.

All our scanner applications are designed on HTML5 and run on Android version 8 or later. Therefore, the software can run on any external Android device, however we’ve identified a few preferred devices. For more information on these devices refer to our website - Supported Scanners and Barcode Label Printers

By design, if you press Enter you activate a button (for example the Post button) to go to a next screen or action, however, some of our HTML 5 scanner applications have multiple fields and therefore you cannot Enter from one field to the next but must rather use TAB to go from one field to the next.

This user guide explains the settings to be changed for the following devices, so that you can Tab from one field to the next and not use the Enter key.

DATALOGIC Scorpio X5

The following process explain how to set the Auto TAB functionality on a DATALOGIC Scorpio X5 scanner when scanning barcodes.

  • On your scanner screen you can drag up from the little Options button upwards
