Inbound Receipt / Quality Check / Inbound Mass Check [REC030]
This is a simple pallet mass check. Each new pallet of the affected stock code in receiving is put on an ON HOLD status and must then be placed on a weigh station linked to DATASCOPE WMS to validate the mass.
If this module is activated, every pallet received is put ON HOLD and will remain ON HOLD until it has been weighed. This is typically used with products with a weight-based UOM (Unit of Measure) like kilograms or pounds. A customer might purchase 10000 pounds from a supplier and receive 10 pallets with 1000 pounds each, but the actual weight of the pallets is not 1000 pounds. One might be 990 pounds, while the other is 1113 pounds. The weight must be fixed immediately after receipt using this module.
There is a larger quality module that handles tests and criteria at a stock code level - Quality Control

Try it!
The mass check will activate pallets if the pallet mass is within a tolerance of the total theoretical mass calculated. This is particularly important when receiving full pallets of one stock code from a supplier and not unpacking the pallet, but weighing to validate that all the stock is there.
From the Main Menu, browse to Inbound Receipt / Quality Check / Inbound Mass Check
The Inbound Mass Check screen will open.
Enter the TrackID (pallet number) in the TrackID field or use the lookup icon to locate it.
Enter the TrackID Tare
Enter the Packaging 1 Tare and Packaging 2 Tare, if required.

A plugin (Final Mass Checkout Fetch Mass) must be configured to link the Fetch Mass button to a weight scale. For more information, refer to Plugin Customization |
A pop-up will appear if the tolerance is exceeded. The user has the option to override this.

A Mass check label can be printed.
Any pallet that fails we need to be negative receipted in SYSPRO, as the inventory has already been received into SYSPRO. The pallet in DATASCOPE can be manually inactivated in this scenario
