Kit issuing material can be done differently, depending on the client’s requirement. The following options exist:
Move Kit Issue stock into a WIP Warehouse – The kit issue material will reside in a WIP Warehouse. Within SYSPRO, a warehouse represents an actual warehouse containing your inventory items. You may want to split your raw materials and finished goods inventory into different logical warehouses. Therefore, kit-issued stock can be moved into a WIP Warehouse. The Warehouse must first be designated in DATASCOPE WMS as a WIP Warehouse. It's important to note that when a Warehouse is flagged as a WIP Warehouse, any TrackIDs moved into it become inactive in DATASCOPE WMS, and control over the TrackID is transferred to SYSPRO. These warehouses are referred to as SYSPRO-controlled warehouses, and SYSPRO's Kit Issue settings are used to manage the kit-issued materials from that point onward.
SYSPRO to manage Kit Issue - To ensure that only SYSPRO manages the Kit Issue, several setup requirements must be met. Firstly, the SYSPRO setting "Automatic deplete in" should be configured for Kit Issues, and the "Automatic depletion of lots by" setting must be chosen as either the Receipt date or Expiry date. Additionally, the TrackIDs need to be warehouse transferred into a WIP Warehouse flagged in DATASCOPE WMS. Confirming that the warehouse for Kit Issue items on the Bill of Materials (BOM) in SYSPRO matches the designated DATASCOPE WMS WIP Warehouse is crucial.
DATASCOPE WMS and SYSPRO to manage Kit Issue - Ensure that the warehouse specified for Kit Issue items on the Bill of Materials (BOL) in SYSPRO matches the warehouse where the DATASCOPE WMS TrackIDs are stocked. Various settings must be configured to allow DATASCOPE WMS and SYSPRO to manage the Kit issue. Once these settings are in place, both SYSPRO and DATASCOPE WMS will handle the Kit Issues accordingly.
