TrackIDs that are generated in the Shipping module are called Shipping TrackIDs. They act as a carrier pallet for the shipping process and can be used for shipment consolidation prior to dispatching. Stock on a Shipping TrackID is not considered as part of the available inventory in the system, and therefore this type of TrackID is always in an INACTIVE status to exclude the stock from stock queries.

The Shipping TrackID is always prefixed with an “S,” which you can also see a pallet label that prints. This is to distinguish Shipping TrackIDs from ordinary TrackID in the system.

A TrackID passes through several statuses in the system as transactions take place. Each TrackID Type has different statuses, but generally, when a TrackID is generated, the first status is CREATED.

See below the various statuses per TrackID Type.

The Shipping TrackID Type has the following statuses:

  • ASSOCIATED

  • COMPLETE

  • CREATED

  • IN_PACKING

  • LOADED

  • PACKED
