This screen allows you to cancel a Pick Slip prior to it being picked. The Pick Slip can only be in a CREATED, PRINTED, or ASSIGNED status. If the Pick Slip is in a STARTED status or moved passed it, it cannot be cancelled using this module, and the Pick Slip Status Update [PIK020] must be used.

It can then only be cancelled on the HTML5 scanner <which screen>. If the Pick Slip is in a STARTED state then it means at least one product has been picked from the Pick Slip and it will have to be unpicked and return tot he bin location first, before cancelling the Pick Slip.

As soon as a Pick Slip is assigned to a user the system will automatically assign a picking TrackID for the Pick Slip. Cancelling the Pick Slip will inactive the picking TrackID.

When cancelling a pick slip the software will ask the user if the order in SYSPRO should be moved into suspense. This is very useful when a company is using the Sales Order Wave release to identify and release orders. If the pick slip is cancelled and the Sales Order is still in an open state in SYSPRO the release screen will release a new picking slip. In some cases you do not want the order to be re-released.

  • Enter the Pick Slip number in the Pick Slip Number field or use the lookup icon to locate it.

  • The rest of the fields will update automatically with the Pick Slip details

  • Review the detail to ensure it is the correct Pick Slip that must be cancelled.

  • Select Cancel to cancel the Pick Slip

  • A pop-up will appear request if you are use of the CANCEL. Select Yes, if correct.

  • A second pop-up will appear asking you whether to suspend the order linked to this Pick Slip within SYSPRO

  • Select Yes

  • If a company is using the Sales Order Wave release to identify and release orders and the the pick slip is cancelled, but the Sales Order is still in an open state in SYSPRO the release screen will release a new picking slip. In some cases you do not want the order to be re-released.

  • If you do want to it to be re-released, select No

  • A confirmation message will appear stating that the Pick Slip has been cancelled.

  • The cancellation can also be confirmed to by viewing the Pick Slip status on the Pick Slip Review screen.
