To start with customizing an HTML5 application, you will need the following:

  • Correct permissions (typically only applicable to Administrators) with some development experience.

  • Correct licensing to customize HTML 5 modules.

Permissions

You need the correct permissions to create a copy of an HTML5 module and edit the screen.

  • Open DATASCOPE WMS

  • On the Ribbon Bar, select Permissions.

  • Select the Group Permissions tab.

  • Select the group Administrators, as Operators should not be allowed to customize modules.

  • All the permissions for that group will open. Ensure the Administrator has HTML5_MAY_COPY_APP and HTML5_MAY_EDIT_APP.

  • If you have the correct permissions and open an HTML 5 module, you will notice a small icon in the top right-hand corner. This indicates that the screen can be copied, and further customization can be done.

Note: We advise to ONLY open the HTML 5 modules from a Chrome Browser and not a physical device.

Note: If you do not see the copy icon in the top right-hand corner, just maximize the screen, and it will be visible.

Correct Licensing

To apply your logic and requirement to an existing module (for example, Bin Transfers), we allow you to make a copy of an existing HTML5 module and customize it according to your requirements.

You do, however, need the correct licensing to do this. To confirm your licensing is correct:

  • On the DATASCOPE WMS Server, browse to the Licensing folder in your File Explorer.

  • It will be located under C: / DatascopeLicense / License.xml

  • Open the License.xml file and search for HTML5_DESIGN_KIT

  • If you do not have the HTML5_DESIGN_KIT within your license file, then you are not licensed to use this. For more information on getting this module, contact your local DSP (DATASCOPE Solution Provider)
