Carton Picking differs from the Pick to Box picking strategy. This strategy is used in warehouses, picking many cartons per order. The scanner understands that a user will move to a bin location and pick product cartons. The solution allows for the labeling of the carton during the picking process.
The module requires quite a bit of setting up before using it. The main difference, however, is that stock reservations are assigned to cartons upfront; therefore, during the reservation process, the reservation rule must decide exactly which stock and how much must go in each carton. We will still be picking to TrackID type entity, but the user will assign and pick at a carton level and, therefore, pick the assigned stock for a specific carton. There might be one pick slip with many cartons (i.e., one pick slip = many cartons).
This module also integrates with the voice and conveyor-picking methods. This works really well, as it can offline different cartons at different sections in the warehouse.
It’s important to note that it does use specific checkout, inline checkout and checkout put away screens as the cartons is different formats and you are tracking at a different level.
The user cannot move to different checkout screens.
The pick is still a bin transfer, but each carton is a TrackID (Pickslip+WH+carton)

Review the data
All pick slip data is visible on the Pick Slip Review screen. This is the main management front-end from where warehouses would review picks running within the warehouse. The overview here is useful to watch the flow through the warehouse, identify bottlenecks and apply pressure where required.
If you have the Pick Slip Review screen open and you already applied all the necessary filters to view the stock codes you are interested in, you can right-click on the order you want to pick and view the Reservations by selecting View Reservations. This screen will show what was reserved for that specific order.
Take note of the Carton No field in the View Reservations screen.
The Carton No would have been generated during the reservation process.
Assigning the Carton pick to an Operator
Assigning Pick Slips to Operators can be done in two ways:
When assigning from the Sales Order Carton Picking mobile screen you must enter (or scan) the Pick Slip number in the following format: Pickslip+WH+carton (For example: 11667738+FF+2508)
Start picking stock using the Sales Order Carton Picking HTML5 screen
To open the HTML 5 scanner-based window from the PC, go to the Ribbon Bar and select Launch HTML 5. This will open the HTML 5 sub-menu
Click on the Launch HTML 5 icon.
Your HTML 5 scanner window will load.
From the lookup icon you can search for Sales Order Carton Picking
Note: Notice that there are multiple picking options on the scanner.
The first thing the screen will ask you is to select the Zone in which the cartons must be picked.
If the pick hasn’t been assigned to the logged in Operator, the operator can assign the pick slip on the first Tab - Assign
