FASTTRACK WMS (and the entire DATASCOPE PREMIUM WMS suite) has been built specifically for SYSPRO ERP. Therefore, a very high level of integration exists between the two systems.

This user guide covers the configuration of direct integration to SYSPRO from FASTTRACK WMS. This allows users to access and open SYSPRO programs directly from the FASTTRACK WMS Ribbon bar.

Let us follow the steps to configure the embedded SYSPRO screens within FASTTRACK WMS.

Try it!

When opening FASTTRACK WMS, you will notice a few custom SYSPRO menu items in the Ribbon Bar.

These applications are direct queries into SYSPRO, and when clicking on them, SYSPRO will open directly in FASTTRACK WMS. This allows the user to quickly do SYSPRO queries without switching between the two applications.

To have this work, some configuration must be done within FASTTRACK WMS

Configuring FASTTRACK WMS

To configure this integration, you must have the SYSPRO 8 client installed on your machine and the FASTTRACK WMS client.

  • Open FASTTRACK WMS

  • On the Ribbon Bar, open Settings / System Settings

image-20240205-134508.png
  • Select GENERAL on the System Name drop-down list

image-20240205-134516.png
  • Once all the system settings under GENERAL have loaded, you can scroll down to the bottom of the list

  • Four SYSPRO settings must be configured to allow the integration between SYSPRO and FASTTRACK WMS

  • Let us look at configuring these settings:

o   SYSPRO_BASE_PATH

image-20240205-134530.png

This path is the path on your local machine to the SYSPRO client

  • Open Windows Explorer

  • Scroll to Windows C:\SYSPROClient\Base

image-20240205-134542.png
  • Copy the path and paste it into the SYSPRO_BASE_PATH setting field under System Settings

Note:  this will be the same for all your SYSPRO Client machines.

o   SYSPRO_HOST_ADDRESS

image-20240205-134551.png

This points to your SYSPRO server.

  • Enter your SYSPRO server IP Address or Host Name in the SYSPRO_HOST_ADDRESS setting field under System Settings

o   SYSPRO_HOST_TYPE

image-20240205-134601.png

Most of the time, this will be set to WCF, as it’s the latest technology. Notice that we do cater for CCITCP2 as well.

  • Click on the drop-down next to the SYSPRO_HOST_TYPE setting field and select the appropriate option

image-20240205-134622.png

o   SYSPRO_WCF_PORT

image-20240205-134628.png

This is the communication port that SYSPRO’s communication services are running on. This must be copied from the SYSPRO server.

  • Ensure you are on your SYSPRO server

  • Open the Services window (you can search for Services from the Window Search icon)

image-20240205-134634.png
  • Open Services

  • Locate the SYSPRO 8 Communication Service: 30110

image-20240205-134642.png
  • Notice the port number next to it – this is the port number you must enter in the SYSPRO_WCF_PORT setting field

Note:  This is NOT the e.net port number. The e.net port number is located next to the SYSPRO 8 e.net Communications Load Balancer: 31001. Ensure you enter the correct port number into the SYSPRO_WCF_PORT setting field

o   Select Apply to save these settings

Once the above settings have been applied, you can open one of the SYSPRO Query screens from the Ribbon Bar. Notice that a SYSPRO Query window will open within FASTTRACK WMS, and you can perform any SYSPRO query as if you are working directly in SYSPRO.

This integration is also applicable to certain FASTTRACK WMS modules where you can access SYSPRO directly from within a FASTTRACK WMS module. A good example is the Stock Taking module.

Note: This functionality does not work if you run FASTTRACK WMS on the SYSPRO server. We strongly advise having two separate servers for these two applications.
