This section will cover the integration and technical aspects of the Services Option within the System Manager. This option is used to perform an initial install of the DATASCOPE WMS.

The first step to this option is listing all services installed/not installed, as shown below.

Note: if the tick box is selected, that specific service has been installed.

This screen will validate the following Registry entry, searching for any Services entries as shown below is an example of this.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHING\SOFTWARE\WOW632Node\DATASCOPEWMS\

Enabled=1 then it will be checked, i.e., Enabled.

Enabled=0 then it will be unchecked, i.e., Disabled.

Once the next button is pressed the System Manager will iterate through ALL the ENABLED items on the main screen and allow the operator to specific the applicable settings.

The settings for each service will differ but will be written to the registry as follows with the service name as a prefix:

Once a Service has been selected and Next has been chosen to configure the Service, a pop-up will appear, stating that the Service must be restarted first before changes will take effect.

Let us review the various services available:

Release 23.1 - The Logging Service that manages the logs from the Microsoft Message Queues and inserts it into the DB is a standalone Service. This Service has been migrated and will automatically form part of the DATASCOPE WMS Core Services. This new Queue Reader Service is now configurable via the Services section within System Manager. (DevOps # 5098)
