DATASCOPE WMS SYSPRO Panels are Datascope screens visible within SYSPRO, but viewing DATASCOPE WMS data.

It is installed as part of the standard DATASCOPE WMS and is activated by the DATASCOPE WMS License file. Once the module has been activated within the license, the panels can be added to the SYSPRO Screen at a User/Role level as required.

These panels can be installed from the System Manager -see the System Manager section for more details.

The installation of the DATASCOPE WMS SYSPRO Panels consists of two components, the Server Component, and the SYSPRO Client Component. These two components are described below in more detail.

Server Component Install

The DATASCOPE WMS SYSPRO Panels are relatively simple to install. In the latest version of DATASCOPE WMS, the panels are automatically installed as part of the WMS Installation. In the earlier version, before v 5.0.1, the installation files can be downloaded via the System Manager / Download a Port/Upgrade section, as shown below:

Should you be on v5.0.1 or later, you can skip to the SYSPRO section below for further instructions on updating to the latest panels. For versions before v5.0.1, download the. MSI file as per the above image and proceed with the installation. This is a very simple “next,” “next,” “next” installation, with no options to choose from as follows:

Once the installation is complete, a new Windows Service will be located under Services, as shown below. This is the core service required for the panels to communicate with WMS and SYSPRO.

Before starting the service, there is a single configuration file that needs to be updated; this is located in the following path:

C:\Program Files (x86)\DATASCOPE\DATASCOPE WMS SYSPRO Panels

The file is named as follows:

WMS.SysproExtensions.ServerService.exe.config

Open this file in Notepad and edit the following lines to reflect the WMS Server IP/Name as shown below:

Once this is done, the Windows Service mentioned above can be started, which completes the installation of the Server Component of the panels.

WMS Client Components

Once the Server Component is installed, the SYSPRO Client Component must be copied over to the SYSPRO Server.

The files required are located in the Server Installation directory, as shown below:

C:\Program Files (x86)\DATASCOPE\DATASCOPE WMS SYSPRO Panels\SYSPRO Files

There are two files required, the DLL and the Configuration file, as shown below:

In windows explorer, copy these files and copy them to the following location on the SYSPRO Server:

C:\SYSPRO7\Base\ManagedAssemblies

It should be noted that the “SYSPRO7” part of the above path depends on your specific installation of SYSPRO and may differ from this. However, the remainder of the path is consistent and should be followed.

Once the two files are copied, the WMS.SysproExtentions.Cloent.dll. config file should be edited to reflect the correct WMS Server IP/Name as shown below:

Typically, the port can be left unchanged. This concludes the installation of the panels. Please follow the configuration section below for details on setting up the panels within SYSPRO.
