Permission Management [SET080]
Once the user has been marked as a DATASCOPE WMS user, they can also be linked to a specific group with specific permissions allocated.
The Permission Management screen is divided into a few different TABS at the top:
Groups – default groups with pre-configured appliable permissions associated with them. You can also add additional groups by selecting the grey line at the bottom, adding a Group name and Description, and selecting Save
Menu Access – here, you can configure which PC and Scanner menus and icons are visible to each Group. As you select a group from the drop-down (at the top), the allowed and disallowed menu items and applications display for that group. A green check mark indicates the menu is accessible, and a red ‘no-entry’ icon indicates it is not. Double-clicking the icons toggles them between accessible and not. The left-hand column shows the PC-based menu structure. This is the same order as the default Main Menu tree within DATASCOPE WMS. The middle column shows the HTML 5 scanner-based menu structure, and the right-hand column will show any custom HTML 5 icons you have developed. The Allow Access to All and Deny Access to All are self-explanatory for the menu items under each column. There is no Save button on this screen, as the menu immediately becomes accessible or not after you have double-clicked the icon.
Group Permissions – again, you will see transaction permissions per default group selected. DATASCOPE WMS comes with default permissions per group, but these can be changed to suit your requirements. There is no Save button on this screen, as the permissions immediately become accessible or not after you have selected the icon
Operator Group – in this TAB you associate the Operator to the Operator group. To create a new record, select a Group from the drop-down menu in the grey row at the bottom of the data grid and select the operator code from the second drop-down menu. This screen has a Save button, which will save your changes.
Note: An operator can be associated with more than one Group if required, and the permissions for both groups will apply to that one user.
The Delete button can be used to remove user/group records.
Your operator should now have an operator code within SYSPRO, the relevant E.net access, and has been configured as a DATASCOPE WMS user within an associated group.
The Operator is now able to log onto the PC or scanner-based platform.
Once you have given all your users the necessary permissions, you can create your Operator labels.
