Serial Labeling [LAB005]

This screen prints a Serial Number barcode label that can be placed onto products to scan the items when it is picked. Occasionally, products might have a Serial Number on the box, but the products inside don’t have a Serial Number label. These Serial number barcodes are not recorded inside SYSPRO at all.

This is only a labeling module to label stock with barcoded labels that don’t have labels on them.

  • Enter the Serial Number as it is visible on the product.

  • Select Print

  • A Printer pop-up will appear. Ensure the correct Printer is selected from the drop-down.

  • Select Apply

  • A small barcode label will print that can be placed on the product.

SPECIAL FEATURES

  • DATASCOPE WMS does not support Serial numbers, but we allow a site to scan a Serial number if stock codes are set up with a customs form field indicating that serials are required.

TECHNICAL

  • You must ensure the System Settings are configured correctly when printing to a physical printer. The SERIALLABELING setting under Settings / Printers on the Ribbon Bar must point to the physical printer. For more information, refer to Configure Printers.

  • Please ensure the appropriate .rpt label format is configured to print Serial Labels. To add a .rpt format, browse to System Settings / LABELING / SERIALLABELING
