Warehouse scanners and Tablets play a crucial role in automating data collection for warehouse operations. They can scan labels without errors. Employees working on the physical floor rely heavily on scanners or tablets and the applications built into them.
Many modules within DATASCOPE WMS must be used with a scanner or tablet.
This user guide will explain how to install and configure the Android Mobile Application. We will show you how to install the Android App on multiple devices (scanners and/or tablets)
To install and configure the legacy Windows Mobile platform, refer to Windows Mobile 6.1 platform

1. Downloading the Android Application
To load the Mobile Application on your device you can follow the steps below:
· Open a standard browser window on your PC and have the device (scanner or tablet) on hand next to you
Note: Running Android 8 or higher is a prerequisite for the devices.
· In your browser window you can type in the Docker Container IP address to connect to the Docker - http://<Docker Container IP>/datascope.web/. For example: http://192.168.1.50/datascope.web/

Note: The IP address refers to your Docker Container IP address. For more information refer to the FASTTRACK WMS Installation Guide
· The HTML 5 scanner-based login screen will open

· You do not need to log in – you just need the open login screen
· Below the Login button you will see a little Android icon

· Select the Android icon
· A barcode will appear on the screen

Note: There are two barcodes. Use the little arrow next to the first barcode to scroll to the second barcode. You will use both barcodes to install and configure your devices. You can use the arrows next to each barcode to switch between the two.

Note: You do not need to print out these barcodes you can scan them directly on the PC screen.
2. Installing the Application
· The first barcode (Download Android APK) will allow you to download the Android APK

· Next, you must open the Chrome browser on the device (scanner or tablet)

· Scan the first barcode (Download Android APK) from the PC screen

· A file will download
· Once downloaded you can select the Open button
· A prompt will open asking you to Cancel or Install

· Select Install
· This will install FASTTRACK WMS on the device (scanner or tablet)
Note: A second prompt may appear, depending on where the authorization lies within the Play Store, asking you to Accept or Reject the installation. You can just select OK
· Once completed installing you will notice a small FASTTRACK WMS icon on the device (scanner or tablet) desktop

· Selecting it will open the FASTTRACK WMS Application
· When you open the FASTTRACK WMS app for the first time, a prompt will appear asking the user to allow FASTTRACK WMS to access photos, media and files on the device. Click Allow. This permission is required by the app to save the Docker Container IP address on the scanner device

3. Configure the Server Address
· The second barcode will assist you to get the FASTTRACK WMS Server Address. This will allow you to not have to type in any IP addresses. You will require this to set up the actual application

· Open the FASTTRACK WMS Application on the device, by clicking on the icon you installed with the first barcode
· If the files and media access prompt appear, select Allow
· Next, the application will require the Docker Container IP address. You can type this in manually or scan the second barcode (WMS Server Address)

Note: The second barcode (WMS Server Address) is just there to assist you in adding the Docker IP address to the application.
· Select OK
· The HTML 5 scanner-based application will now be installed and preconfigured on your device (scanner or tablet)

· Once completed you can log in to the application on the device (scanner or tablet)

Note: Once installed on the device you can start using it. If you exit the application on the device, you can just click on the icon again to log in.
