Quality Control
The Quality Control (QC) module is a DATASCOPE WMS module typically used by Food, Chemical, and Pharmaceutical Distribution Centers. All stock codes set as “Inspection Required” in SYSPRO can be controlled in this module, both during the Purchase Receipt and Job Receipt stages. Each stock code can be flagged with multiple quality tests. Expected results are entered, and tests pass or fail against these criteria.
This User Guide will focus on the licensing required, activating the module, and configuration to start using the QC module.

Getting Started
Before starting to use the Quality Control module, specific steps must be followed to activate and configure this module.
Module Licensing
Quality Control (QC) is a separate Module within the product. It must be licensed separately when purchasing the product.
Licensing is then based on our Named User module. Therefore, if you purchased 50 Named User licenses, you would get a 50-user Quality Control Module.
To confirm your licensing is correct:
On the DATASCOPE WMS Server, browse to the Licensing folder in your File Explorer.
It will be located under C: / DatascopeLicense / License.xml.
Open the License.xml file and search for QUALITY_CONTROL.
If you do not have QUALITY_CONTROL within your license file, then you are not licensed to use this. Contact your local DSP (DATASCOPE Solution Provider) to obtain the Quality Control License.
User Licensing
The user licensing and permissions to use the Quality Control module must also be activated.
Open DATASCOPE WMS
On the Ribbon Bar, select Settings / Permissions
Select the Group Permissions tab and allow the following permissions for the Quality Control group.
o ADVANCED_QUALITY_INSPECTION
o MAY_CONTROL_QUALITY_ASSURANCE_ONHOLD
Quality Control Module System Settings
You must first update some System Settings to configure the Quality Control module.
On the Ribbon bar, go to Settings / System Settings. Search for the QUALITY_CONTROL System Name in the drop-down.
Update the following SettingNames:
o PRINT_TO_PDF_PATH = SettingValue must be ???
o QC_FINAL_RESULT_REPORT = SettingValue must be ???
o Qc_TEST_SHEET = SettingValue must be ???
Select Apply in the bottom right-hand corner to save your changes.
