The Pick to TrackID process still picks to a TrackID, but the TrackID has a different format. Here, the format will be Pickslip+WH+Box. (the Box will refer to a Box number)
Critical for this picking strategy is deactivating a warehouse setting. On the Ribbon Bar, browse to Settings / Warehouse Settings. Select the applicable Warehouse (typically, it would be the warehouse you are signed into) and locate the DISPATCH setting name. Here, you can update the PICKING_ALLOW_PICK_TO_PICKINGSLIP settings to N(o).
The setting change is required as the user will now pack the box as they pick the pick slip. The advantage is that the picker can decide how to pack the box, and the warehouse does not require a packing station. The process does allow for a box check or final mass check, or, alternatively, it can be moved to a Shipping TrackID - for more information, please take a look at the shipping module.

Assigning the pick to an Operator
Assigning the pick to an Operator can only be done on the scanner.
Assigning TrackID/Box Pick to an Operator
When assigning from the Sales Pick to TrackID mobile screen you must enter or scan the Pick Slip number, for example: 1144+FG.
Start picking stock using the Sales Pick to TrackID HTML5 screen
To open the HTML 5 scanner-based window from the PC, go to the Ribbon Bar and select Launch HTML 5. This will open the HTML 5 sub-menu
Click on the Launch HTML 5 icon.
Your HTML 5 scanner window will load.
Search for the Sales Pick to TrackID module.
The screen will open on the Assign Tab where the Operator will assign the first pick slip to himself. For more information refer to Assigning TrackID/Box Pick to an Operator
The Slips TAB gives a list of all the assigned pick slips to the logged-in user.
Select the pick slip that you want to pick and then select Next to go to the next TAB
When following this picking strategy there are two labeling variations the Operator can choose from.
Print the Picking TrackID before picking (the Print Tab must be activated)
Print the Picking TrackID during picking
If the Warehouse Setting has been activated to print the Picking TrackID before picking, then the user will notice a Print Tab from where the labels can be printed. For more information refer to Labeling required for Pick to TrackID
The Items TAB will open which will give you a summary of all the Bins, Tracking IDs, stock codes, and Qty that are on the pick slip. You can also see in the Scanned column how many you have scanned to date. This is all for information purposes
Select an item that you want to pick and select Next to go to the Pick TAB
The Pick TAB will open. This is the main picking screen that explains what Sugg Tracking ID, stock code, and quantity the picker must fetch. In the blue section, the picker can see the stock code and description of the item. It also indicates whether it is a Lot traceable item or not.
The picker will then physically go to the Sugg Bin and scan the TrackID; you can also type it into the TrackID field. If you TAB off the field the rest of the fields will auto-populate
There are various warehouse settings that can be set around this screen, for example that the Stock Code, Lot and QTY auto-populate. For more information on these settings, refer to Picking Customizations
The picker will see at the top of the screen what the Qty is that must be picked, and this must be updated in the Quantity field
The To TrackID field will auto-populate or not depending on the labeling variance the warehouse is using.
If the Picking TrackIDs was printed before picking, the To TrackID field cannot auto-populate (the Warehouse Setting AUTOPOPULATE_PICKING_PALLET must be set to N(o)) as the Operator already preprinted a number of Picking TrackID labels, and he must scan the picking TrackID of the box he will be placing the stock into.
When entering or scanning the Picking TrackID it must be in the format Pickslip+WH+Box. For example: 1144+FG+B2.
Select Post.
The stock will then move from the Sugg TrackID to the Picking TrackID.
If the Operator need to print more Picking TrackIDs he can go back to the Print Tab at any point, and enter more quantities in the desired box type field to be printed. An indication of how many Picking TrackIDs have already been printed will be visible next to the box type field.
Review the data
All pick slip data is visible on the Pick Slip Review screen. This is the main management front-end from where warehouses would review picks running within the warehouse. The overview here is useful to watch the flow through the warehouse, identify bottlenecks and apply pressure where required.
If you right-click on the pick slip and select View TrackID you will see that the Pick slip(s) has moved to the Picking TrackID and Bin.
SYSPRO will however only see the BIN and not the two TrackIDs
