Sales Pick to TrackID [PIK067]
The Sales Pick to TrackID process still picks to a TrackID, but the TrackID has a different format (Pickslip+WH+Box), and the Operator will pick and pack the stock at the same time. Various options exist, which is to pick to a TrackID, box, or tote. All three picking variations will use this screen but require configuration changes for each picking approach.
The advantage is that the picker can decide how to pack the box or tote, and the warehouse does not require a packing station.
Ensure the correct labeling configurations have been set prior to picking
Assign the pick slip to an Operator
Depending on the labeling configuration, some of the Tabs on the screen might differ, and the Picking TrackID might print out during different steps in the process.
Picking when the Picking TrackID prints before picking commence:
The Slips TAB gives a list of all the assigned pick slips to the logged-in user.
Select the pick slip that you want to pick and then select Next to go to the next TAB.
If the Warehouse Setting has been activated to print the Picking TrackID before picking, then the user will notice a Print Tab from where the labels can be printed.
The Operator can now select the type of box/carton label that must be printed, including how many labels.
Select Print
The Picking Pallet label(s) will print.
The Items TAB will open which will give you a summary of all the Bins, Tracking IDs, stock codes, and Qty that are on the pick slip. You can also see in the Scanned column how many you have scanned to date. This is all for information purposes.
Select an item that you want to pick and select Next to go to the Pick TAB
The Pick TAB will open. This is the main picking screen that explains what Sugg Tracking ID, stock code, and quantity the picker must fetch. In the blue section, the picker can see the stock code and description of the item. It also indicates whether it is a Lot traceable item or not.
The picker will then physically go to the Sugg Bin and scan the TrackID; you can also type it into the TrackID field. If you TAB off the field the rest of the fields will auto-populate.
The picker will see at the top of the screen what the Qty is that must be picked, and this must be updated in the Quantity field.
For this labeling and picking approach the To TrackID field cannot auto-populate as the Picking TrackIDs were printed before picking, and the Operator must scan the printed picking TrackID of the box he will be placing the stock into.
When entering or scanning the Picking TrackID it must be in the format Pickslip+WH+Box. For example: 1144+FG+B2.
Select Post to indicate that the item has been picked. The screen will automatically load the next item on the pick slip to be picked.
The stock will then move from the Sugg TrackID to the Picking TrackID.
If the Operator needs to print more Picking TrackIDs, he can go back to the Print Tab at any point and enter more quantities in the desired box type field to be printed. An indication of how many Picking TrackIDs have already been printed will be visible next to the box type field.
On the Confirm tab a summary of all the items that have been picked will be visible.
If satisfied with the pick, select Confirm. The software will then complete the pick and update the status of the pick slip to PICKED.
Picking when the Picking TrackID prints during the picking process:
Three different methods can be followed:
Print the label before starting to pick (Prompt for labels on assign)
With this approach, the Picking TrackID labels will print when the Operator assigns the pick slip to himself via the Assign Tab.
A pop-up message will appear asking whether the Picking TrackID must be printed. Â
Select Yes
The Picking TrackID label will print.
Notice that a Box number will now appear in the top right-hand corner of the screen (example B1). The screen is now expecting the user to pick sequentially.
If the user selects the Next Box button and no stock has been picked in the current box a warning message will appear.
The picker will then physically go to the Sugg Bin and scan the TrackID; you can also type it into the TrackID field. If you TAB off the field the rest of the fields will auto-populate
The picker will see at the top of the screen what the Qty is that must be picked, and this must be updated in the Quantity field.
For this labeling and picking approach the To TrackID field can auto-populate as the user must pick sequentially and the system knows what the next box number will be.
When entering or scanning the Picking TrackID it must be in the format Pickslip+WH+Box. For example: 1144+FG+B2 (but, if the AUTOPOPULATE_PICKING_PALLET setting is on, then it will auto-populate)
Select Post to indicate that the item has been picked.
The stock will then move from the Sugg TrackID to the Picking TrackID.
The Operator must select the Next Box button to pick and pack the next box.
Print the label after a pick slip has been picked and you want to seal the box (Print labels on Next Box)
If the PREPRINT_PICKING_TRACKIDS setting is configured, a popup message will appear asking to pre-print the TrackID.
Select Yes
The next Picking TrackID label will print. (Example B2) and the Operator can pick the next pick slip into this Picking TrackID.
On the Confirm tab a summary of all items that have been picked will be visible
If satisfied with the pick, select Confirm. The software will then complete the pick and update the status of the pick slip to PICKED.
Print a Packet label after picking and when the pick is confirmed (Prompt for the label on Confirm)
If the PROMPT_FOR_LABELS_ON_CONFIRM setting was set to Y(es), a popup message will appear on the Confirm Tab, asking to print a Packet label if required.
SPECIAL FEATURES
When following this picking strategy the operator can choose from two labeling variations, which is printing the Picking TrackID before picking or printing the picking TrackID during picking.
When assigning the pick slip on the Assign Tab the Operator must ensure the pick slip is in a PRINTED status.
