You can use the Shipping Palletization module on the HTML5 scanner for any repacking or re-arranging of stock in the Dispatch area before shipping. This will, however, only be required in exceptional cases.

The module can also be used when you make a mistake during the MSN Grocery Pack checkout process and/or Shipping TrackID build-up and need to move stock from one Shipping TrackID to another. This is usually visible on the Waybill/BOL Maintenance screen, Picking TrackID tab. The incorrect picking slips will be highlighted in red. If you would like more information, please take a look at the Shipping module, Waybill Creation and Checkout process.

  • Select No if you only want to repack existing Shipping TrackIDs or fixing pallet build-up mistakes during the checkout process. For more information, refer to the Shipping module, Checkout process.

  • The Shipping Palletization screen can be used in different modes, depending on which tab you select along the bottom of the screen

  • Let us review the different scenarios

Scenario #1:   All cartons were packed onto one Shipping TrackID during the MSN Grocery Checkout process but must be split logically onto different Shipping TrackIDs to be dispatch correctly.

  • Start by selecting the Remove tab to remove the cartons off the one Shipping TrackID that was too large.

  • Scan (or enter) the Shipping TrackID

  • Select Tab. Notice that the data grid will populate with all cartons on that one Shipping TrackID

  • Select the check box under the Remove column in the data grid next to the cartons that must be removed from the oversized Shipping TrackID

  • Select the Remove button at the bottom of the screen

  • A pop-up will appear, indicating that the cartons was removed successfully

  • The data grid will also update, and only show the current cartons on that Shipping TrackID

  • The selected cartons will be removed from the Shipping TrackID

Scenario #2:   Add the content of the removed Cartons onto a new Shipping TrackID label. (You should have selected Yes, when opening the Shipping Palletization screen, to create new, blank Shipping TrackIDs)

  • Select the Bulk Pack tab

  • Scan (or enter) all the cartons removed from a Shipping TrackID

  • Scan (or enter) the 1st new, empty Shipping TrackID into the Shipping TrackID field, as the new Destination pallet for the removed cartons

  • Select Post.

  • This moves the cartons onto the new Shipping TrackID for dispatching

Scenario #3:      Add portions of the removed Cartons or Picking TrackID onto a new Shipping TrackID label. (You should have selected Yes, when opening the Shipping Palletization screen, to create new, blank Shipping TrackIDs)

  • Select the Unit Pack tab

  • Scan (or enter) the Carton or Picking TrackID into the TrackID field

Note: The Picking TrackID must be in Status SHIPPING, INVOICED or D/NOTE

  • The data grid will populate with all the stock codes on that specific Picking TrackID

  • Select the stock code in the data grid. The detail for the selected stock code will appear below the data grid

  • Update the Quantity field with the Qty to be moved

  • Scan (or enter) the 2nd new, empty Shipping TrackID into the Shipping TrackID field, as the new Destination pallet for the removed cartons

  • Select Post.

  • This moves only the Qty indicated onto the new Shipping TrackID for dispatching

Scenario #4:   The same process as per Scenario #3 will be used when using Tote Picking and you have generated Tote numbers prefixed with a ‘T’.

  • Select the Tote Pack tab

  • Scan (or enter) the Tote into the Tote field

  • The Scanned TrackID will appear

  • The data grid will populate with all the stock codes on that specific Tote

  • Scan (or enter) the 2nd new, empty Shipping TrackID into the Shipping TrackID field, as the new Destination for the Tote

  • Select Post.

This Shipping Palletization module is used for re-packing and re-arranging the stock on your Shipping TrackID prior to the final dimensions, mass checking, and final dispatching via the Shipping module.
