Pick Slip Reservation Clear Out [PIK015]

If sales orders or jobs are canceled in SYSPRO, and there are still DATASCOPE WMS reservations for the stock on these orders, the reservation becomes “stuck,” and no one else can reserve this stock for other sales orders or jobs. In this case, the DATASCOPE WMS reservation must be cleared out to free it up for other reservations. There are two ways of achieving this.

Typically, pick slips in these statuses—CANCELLED, COMPLETE, INVOICED, LOADED, UNLOADED, OR DISPATCHED—should not have pick slip reservations. This screen identifies data issues where there is, in fact, a reservation/s against a pick slip in one of these statuses. This screen allows the user to delete these ‘locked’ reservations.

The System Administrator should run this screen quarterly to ensure it is always blank.

If the sales order or job number is known already, the Pick Slip Reservation Clear Out program can be used as follows:

  • Select either the Sales Order or Job option. Refresh to load the data grid. This will display all Sales Orders or Jobs with reservations.

  • To locate a specific Sales Order or Job, enter the number in either the Sales Order or Job field.

Pick slips in statuses PRINTED, PICKED, CHECKOUT cannot be updated. Only if they are in statuses CANCELLED, COMPLETE, INVOICED, LOADED, UNLOADED OR DISPATCHED.

  • Select the Refresh icon to load the data grid.

  • The data grid will display all the reservations against the selected Sales Order or Job Number that has yet to be printed on a Pick Slip.

Note: This is typically when a user has selected the AutoReserve button on the Sales Order Allocation screen (Single sales order or advanced module) and has Ended the Reservation without confirming the reservation and printing the Pick Slip. The lines will turn green, and the screen will close. The green lines indicate that the stock is being “held” by that one sales order or job, and consequently, no other sales order or job can use that stock.

  • Select the row you want to clear (delete) the reservation from.

  • Select the Delete button in the bottom right-hand corner.

  • This action will delete the reservation.
