Update Min/Max Quantities
Warehouse Setup / Pickface Maintenance / Update Min/Max Quantities [WHS022]
This report is used to compare the DATASCOPE PREMIUM WMS minimum and maximum QTYs of each stock code that has been configured in a Pick face bin with the minimum and maximum QTYs configured for the same stock code’s warehouse in SYSPRO. These QTYs must be in line to ensure various warehouse reports’ data is correct.
Typically, the Maintain Pickface module will be used to manage the minimum and maximum QTYs, and this Update Min/Max Quantities module will be used to push these values to SYSPRO to ensure warehouse management reports, like the Warehouse Replenishment Report, is correct.

Before using the Update Min/Max Quantities module ensure you have the following in place:
Bin Locations
To configure pick face bin locations, you must create the bins first.
For more information, refer to Create Single Bins or Create Multiple Bins
Configure Pickface bin locations.
The next step is to link stock codes to pick face bins and set up the trigger levels for each record. Trigger levels are typically the rules configured to generate the replenishment reports so that users are notified when pick faces must be filled.
Pick face bin locations are configured under the Maintain Pick face module.
Depending on warehouse processes multiple pick face bins per stock code can be configured. A system setting must be updated to allow this configuration.
System Setting required to add the same stock code to different pick face bin locations.
Typically, only one stock code will live in one pick face bin location. However, in some instances, the same stock code is required in multiple pick face bin locations within the warehouse.
The following system settings must be updated to configure a stock code in multiple pick face bin locations.
Browse Settings / System Settings on the Ribbon Bar and locate the PICKFACE system name. Update the ALLOW_MULTI_PICKFACE_SETUP to Y(es). If N(o), the system will block the creation of multiple pick face bins for a single stock code.
View stock code
To see all the pick face bins for a single stock code, browse to KPI Dashboard & Reporting / Standard Reports / Pickface Query.
Enter the stock code in the Stock Code field and refresh the data grid.
In the example above, one stock code (A135) is available in two pick face bins (01-02-03, 01-02-A) with different Min and Max QTYs.
Let’s update SYSPRO on a warehouse level with these Min and Max QTYs by opening the Update Min/Max Quantities module.
Update the Min/Max Quantities
From the main menu, browse to Pickface Maintenance / Update Min/Max Quantities.
The Update Min/Max Quantities screen will open.
Select the applicable pick face warehouse from the Warehouse field drop-down.
The data grid will load. The stock codes in the data grid have all been set up in pick face bins that are linked to the warehouse selected in the Warehouse drop-down field.
If the line is green, then SYSPRO has been updated; if the line is red, you must still do an update as there’s a variance between SYSPRO and DATASCOPE PREMIUM WMS.
If two pickfaces were permitted to be configured for one stock code, their min and max QTYs might differ. This report will then display the lowest min QTY and the highest max QTY between the multiple pickface bins for the stock code.
The screen will update the MinQty configured for the one pick face bin (01-02-03) and the MaxQty from the other pick face bin (01-02-A), but both for the same stock code (A135).
Select Update.
The SYSPRO min and max QTYs for the stock codes’ warehouse will update to match the DATASCOPE PREMIUM WMS QTYs.
All lines that post successfully to SYSPRO will turn green.
The SYSPRO values that have been updated are located against the warehouse record of the stock code in SYSPRO.
o  To view this open SYSPRO and browse to Inventory / Inventory Query.
o  Enter the stock code number and select the browse icon.
o  Right-click on the stock code and select Warehouses.
o  The Warehouse Maintenance for Stock Code screen will open where you will see the warehouses. Select the Change icon to view the min and max QTYs that has been updated.
This report is mainly used to ensure the SYSPRO minimum and maximum stock code values are correct and in sync with the DATASCOPE PREMIUM WMS values.
These minimum and maximum values are used in other Warehouse Manager report, like the Warehouse Replenishment Report, located under the Replenishment module.
The Warehouse Replenishment Report is used to assist Warehouse Managers to ensure there is sufficient stock to meet Sales Order and Job demands on a primary distribution warehouse and suggest which TrackIDs should be moved from other supplying warehouses.
When running the report, the minimum and maximum QTYs will also appear in the data grid per stock code. These figures come from the SYSPRO minimum and maximum fields; therefore, Warehouse Managers must ensure that there are no variances between SYSPRO and DATASCOPE PREMIUM WMS.
Typically, warehouses will use DATASCOPE PREMIUM WMS to configure and maintain pick face data, and not SYSPRO, this Update Min/Max Quantities module is used to push the min/max values back into SYSPRO to keep both systems aligned to ensure the correct values can be used in SYSPRO’s standard reports.
