View Notification [NOT004]
This Notification screen will list all the notification messages configured in the Notification Template Manager on the pc-screen.
This Notification Template Management screen allows users to set up pre-configured notification messages with a pre-assigned group of users. These Notifications can be used for information only or actionable tasks. If a user receives an actionable task via the Notification module, the software tracks the progress of the action and gives feedback to the original requestor once completed.
If you select Yes on the modal pop-up when logging on to the HTML scanner-based screen, you will be directed to a list of all your Notification messages.
If you click on any message in the list, it will redirect you to the View Notification screen.
This will trigger the 'Read message call, which sets the message to read. The number of Unread message counts in the top right-hand corner will also update.
The Action button will only be enabled if you have Actioned a Notification Type of ‘Actionable’.
If you click the Action button, a modal pop-up will display, confirming if you want to Action the message.
If you select Yes, the Action button will become disabled again.
SPECIAL FEATURES
This View Notifications page can only be viewed from the HTML scanner-based Notification screen.
TECHNICAL
The messages must be configured first to receive Notification on the HTML device. Please look at the Notification Template Management screen on the PC-based application.
Notification Types must be configured on the PC-based application under Notification Type Maintenance on the Main Menu.
To receive notification messages, they must have the required permissions. The required permissions can be set on the PC screen under Settings / Permissions. Select the Menu Access Tab and ensure the Inbox it ticked under the Scanner Menu column.
