The Put Away system directs any newly received inventory to the bulk or pick face locations, including moving it to a Suggested Zone or Area.

This Directed Put Away screen is linked to specific Put Away rules.

  • Scan or type a TrackID.

  • The window will load automatically with the Suggested Bin Location, Suggested Zone

  • A Bin Requirement message will appear for the Suggested Bin.

  • The Suggested Bin Location refers to the next open bin location in the warehouse for the pallet that was scanned.

  • The Suggested Zone populates from the SYSPRO default bin field against the specific stock code on the tracking ID you scanned in the warehouse. The Suggested Zone must match the Actual Bin Zone.

The Suggested Zone will display ALL zones, if a TrackID (multi-zone TrackID) is linked to multiple zones.

This can be used as the Zone. If you select the Put Away button, it will pull through to SYSPRO as a Zone.

  • If Areas are configured it will display in the Suggested Area field.

  • The Total Mass is the SYSPRO mass field multiplied by the total quantity

  • Type in or scan the To Bin location into which you want to put away the stock

Depending on the Bin Requirement the user might be forced to add the Suggested Bin.

  • Select the Put Away button.

  • The system does a Bin transfer of that specific item.

  • To view the Bin transfer, you can go to the Information Check PC-screen.

SPECIAL FEATURES

  • A Stock Lookup can be performed by selecting the Lookup Stk button.

TECHNICAL

  • Specific Put Away rules can be configured per warehouse. On the Ribbon Bar, browse Settings / Warehouse Settings. Select the applicable warehouse and locate the PUTAWAY system name. Select the required rule from the PUT_AWAY_RULE drop-down. The following rules exist:

    • None - With this rule the default Bin from the Warehouse will be used.

    • Zone - The Suggested Bin Zone configured for the TrackID will be used. If there’s no zone, then the default Bin for With this rule the default Bin from the Warehouse will be used.the Warehouse will be used.

    • Default - With this rule the default Bin from the Warehouse will be used and the actual bin must match the Suggested Bin.

    • Open - The Suggested Bin will be a Bin (not a Receiving Bin) with no ACTIVE TrackIDs in it.

    • ZoneChar - The Suggested Bin will display a mask with characters taken from the Default Bin.

    • OpenBinZone - The Suggested Bin will be a Bin (not a Receiving Bin) with no ACTIVE TrackIDs in it and the Suggested Zone will be based on TrackID and Qty bigger than 0.

RELEASE NOTES

  • Release note (Ticket #5513) - Suggested Zone field will display ALL zones for multi-zone TrackID. On Post the To Bin can belong to any of the zones.
