Customer Credits (Simple return)

Warehouse Setup / TrackID Maintenance / TrackID Creation Advanced - TrackID Creation Advanced [WHS044]

You would typically process a Credit Note (for customer returns) within SYSPRO using their RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) Module. The RMA module provides companies with an easy, efficient means of tracking returned merchandise. However, once the stock is returned, inventory must be placed back within DATASCOPE WMS, and SYSPRO and DATASCOPE WMS must be balanced.

At most sites, SYSPRO’s RMA module is used to manage returned merchandise to the warehouse. This process will remain as it is in SYSPRO. However, if you choose to issue a Credit Note for the returned lines within the RMA module, to bring the returned goods back into inventory for resale, you will need to ensure the Bin you select to credit the inventory back into is a bin that both SYSPRO and DATASCOPE WMS know about. This bin must only be used for returned merchandise.

Note: Do not credit the inventory back into the bin it was originally invoiced out of, as this will cause problems within the DATASCOPEBalance ReportBalance Report.

If your warehouse manages all credited items through a separate Returns warehouse, please note that SYSPRO has the functionality to UPDATE the Warehouse of the Credit Note to be your Returns warehouse (and not the warehouse that comes off the invoice). You can also select which Bin in the Returns warehouse to credit the stock back into.

Process a RMA for an existing invoice (within SYSPRO)

First, you must process a RMA for a current invoice within SYSPRO and generate a credit note for the returned lines.

For more information on how to do this, go to Process a RMA for an existing invoice (within SYSPRO)

Generate a TrackID label for the returned merchandise (within DATASCOPE)

The TrackID Creation Advanced module within DATASCOPE WMS will be used for this. This module is used to identify any stock that is in SYSPRO, but not in DATASCOPE WMS, and to print TrackID labels for that stock.

For more information on how to do this, go to Generate a TrackID label for returned merchandise

Various TrackIDs Types can be created from the TrackID Creation Advanced module:
