TMS Out of the Box
None
The Transport Management System (TMS) is a DATASCOPE WMS module that will automatically integrate directly into external Shipping or TMS solutions. This is to ensure that your warehouse floor's process is fully integrated and automated.
This User Guide will focus on how to use the TMS module out of the box.

Prerequisites
To start use the TMS module you should already have done the following:
Have a licensed version of the TMS module.
The TMS Module must be activated within DATASCOPE WMS
The TMS Service must have been downloaded from System Manager
The TMS Service must have been configured and is running.
Without the above in place, you will not be able to use the TMS system successfully. For more information on activation and configuration, refer to the TMS Activation and Configuration User Guide. Building and configuring the plugins is discussed in more detail in the Plugin Customization User Guides.
Create a new Sales Order in SYSPRO
To start using the TMS module, you must have active Sales Orders within SYSPRO.
For more information, refer to Create a new Sales Order in SYSPRO for TMS.
Initial Validation Process
There are three validation checks that make up the initial part of the TMS process. These apply to both Small Parcel and LTL orders.
For more information, refer to Initial Validation Process
Pick Slip Release
Once validation is complete, the normal Pick Slip Release process will follow. During this process there is no integration into the TMS Module.
For more information, refer to Normal Pick Slip Release process
Picking
Once pick slips have been released successfully, the normal picking process (using the HTML5 Sales Pick to Pick Slip module) can take place. During this process there is no integration into the TMS Module.
For more information, refer to Normal Picking process
Checkout
After picking the order you must go through the Checkout process. From the checkout area, however, shipping will be slightly different depending on whether the order is a small parcel or LTL.
As a Type Validation was done in the beginning of the process you should know what type of Shipment this will be, for example, a Small Parcel or LTL.
From here on the TMS module is integrated within all Checkout options.
Let us start by looking at the Small Parcel Order check out process - TMS process for Small Parcels
